    For Kowboy et al:

From BBC Derby (thanks Oss for the link)

Hopefully he at least has a seat on the bench and gets minutes.

I said it before and I'll say it again, starting Saturday:

Eddie Lewis will play more minutes for Derby than BF. He'll be a much more important player to the club this season. He's tailor-made for English football, does all the small stuff for 90 minutes and always seems to be one of the three or four players on the field the manager doesn't need to worry about, He's under-appreciated in the U.S. because his contributions are hard to notice, let alone appreciate.

Benny makes the marvelous pass and has the touchstone strike against Mexico in his profile, but how many times did he play a ball against Sweden that caused his teammate to lose possession and how many times was he panicked into kicking the ball way or giving it directly to the opposition? The EPL looks ragged, but it punishes mistakes more than any league in the world.

I hope Benny gets in today and has a scorcher of an appearance, and proves me 100% wrong. But I'm a betting man, so I don't think so.

He looked bad against Sweden, you're right.

As an aside, I think we get it. Can we move on, now?

Nope. Nothing said yet on Radio Derby, maybe Billy doesn't think he's fit? He commented on Eddies fitness being good.

Bradley was the turnover machine against Sweden, not Feilhaber.

    Sheesh, that sucks.

I'm not a big fan of go slow....the best way to get acclimitized is play.

I wonder how much Benny playing this week (missing practice at Derby + his minutes) hurt his chances to get into this game.

Dude's a troll (Brit pretending to be an American). I fed him once. Regretted giving him his jollies.

Benny's going to have to earn his stripes to play. That's fine by me.

Here's one who's hoping Derby runs Eddie out at LM. While he's been a serviceable left back during his career, he's always played better and looked more comfortable as a winger. Due to his time at LB, he defends well for a LM, too. Plus, he's picked up an English accent. :)

He'll be playing wide left, which allows Pearson to play in his best position centre with Oakley, Teale wide right.

completely wrong here. you see, i watch matches in full by myself before coming onto BigSoccer, and I disagree with everything you say, like usual. He had a good game, and the only US teamer with maybe a better one was Beasley.

He had many good 1-2 touch passes, and was actually the one guy on the team that got a couple through balls in near the final third to create chances. Benny DID NOT get pressured into passes, are you high? Were you even watching the game? He has a Donovan-like ability to stop ball motion, create space, and maintain possession with 2-3 people on him. He had very few errant passes all night. idiot.

So, as per the usual, disregard anything Seanie Blue says.
