I could've sworn we had a thread where I dug up all the kits from days of yore but alas, I cannot find it. So here's one that will be easier to search for in the future. Let's start with the leaked alternate strip for 2017... http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/soccer/soccer/2017/02/16/leaked-fc-dallas-2017-secondary-jersey

I'd forgotten about the gray hoops. Is the stars jersey going to be the regular away jersey for 2017 or is it a third kit?
At this point there's only a handful of 3rd shirts remaining (and as far as I know, no new ones introduced this year). There was a suggestion that this was tied to the ability to move shirts, and except for the very top teams merchandise wise (Seattle, Portland, and apparently SKC), most won't qualify.
Actually, we were told the league and adidas made the decision to halt 3rd jerseys. Then KC got one. Apparently what we all forget is kits are designed in two year cycles. The new FCD 2nd that debuted last night was designed in 2015. So, I believe we will no longer see 3rd Kits simply because the decision to stop making them and the release cycle have caught up to each other. (now, of course, PDX - who really needs one btw because both of their kits are very dark, will get one).
Oh wow. I guess that's why Dan Hunt hinted (in the above article) at a more drastic change to the primary strip next year. I also talked to Daniel last night and he alluded to the same thing. Hope it's not a red version of this new blue one.
Yeah, the 2018 new FCD home kit was designed and done last year. It'll be some variation of the 'shades' or 'ombre' of red but still - a red shirt.
Yes, the 2018 home was designed last year. It'll be some different "design" - but it'll be a red shirt.
