Rakitic today wedged himself to Top5 worst performances of all time, and overtook one of the five Suarez performances. Gtfo of my team.

Still comfortable in 1st place ... but this team won't go far.

Imagine the embarrassment when they qualify and meet a proper team.

This exactly. The reason their guys look like they are juiced and not tired at the end of the match is because our guys with the exception of no-head Dembele and Messi for a few sequences had zero pace zero energy. Closing us out was EASY. We showed no heart and our guys probably coach included showed up today thinking that we would just win because we are Barca. It doesn't work like that.

At least the stupid "we rock at home but suck on the road" mantra should stop now. This was a home game and it was horrific. Against a team that has no business playing us to a standstill. If it was Matchday 6 and we already clinched birth I would still be concerned because our hungry 2nd teamers should crush Slavia. No offense to them just being real.

We'll qualify for the knockout stages and then get utterly humiliated by either Liverpool or Man City. Another wasted season in the CL.

So this result hurts Valverde, but in terms of advancing from the group its pretty much as good as win (would've needed a point against Dortmund anyway).

    Win-win? :sneaky:

hmm... although now that Dortmund are staging a comeback against Inter, the math changes quite a bit. Barca in real danger of not advancing atm. :speechless:

Need to get rid of Valverde ASAP. It shouldn’t even be a question now.

I know Griezmann is being played out of position— but I am not sure if he fits anywhere in the team.

Dortmund complete an impressive comeback against Inter! So now a draw against Dortmund and any kind of loss in Milan would send Barca to the Europa League!

Seems very possible on current form.

ourr tactic is let messi dribble whole team then he will either shot or pass but last night there is no one can link to messi. it seems that griezmann is not a guy for messi to pass.
de jong is type carring ball and passing yet last night no dribble from him,he isnt allow to dribble.
    no decision making from coach.

I think that's a bit off. You have to consider what the opponent did. It's not fair to say De Jong is not allowed to dribble. Slavia played such a compact block at around midfield that there was no opportunity for him to dribble. You noticed that we couldn't occupy that midfield space because the created a blockade there. The right plan was to play behind their lines and use Dembele and Semedo's speed ... which we did a few times. I don't think we expected that from Slavia at the Camp Nou and it took time to adjust. Semedo had a great chance to score in 1st part of the first half.

It's also probably the worst type of game for Griezmann to play in given his position. Completely expected for him to struggle. Messi could have passed to him on that chance off the post ... but defender might have caught up in time so the shot wasn't bad choice given how good Messi is.

Something missing were the Messi passes to Alba. But again, it seems like it had much to do with Slavia's high block.

Contrary to what was mentioned here, Slavia are actually playing pretty good. Better than many La Liga teams. So give them credit.

And I wouldn't say the problem today was laziness. I think the team worked hard out there today.
