What could go wrong ... apart from being 6 points behind both the Madrid teams after just 7 days ..

If Messi doesn’t play, for me:

    MATS
    Semedo, Todibo, Langlet, Firpo
De Jong - Busquets - Vidal - Arthur
    Rafinha, Griezmann

Alba is not playing well enough to merit a starting spot, he needs to get his shit together...

    If Messi plays;

Take Vidal out, and have a MF of FDJ, Arthur and Busquets behind Messi, Rafinha and Griezmann.

How would that line up though ? 4-4-2 ? Why no Pique ? I'd still go with Alba.

    With Messi ... 4-3-1-2 ?

Craperto WILL play and we will end up playing with 10men because of him , a useless player who isn't suitable for even a third division club but somehow plays no matter what , heck even if not a defender or midfielder Validiot will play him in front , i still wish to know how he gets to start ahead of so many players waay more talented than him in multiple positions

*waits for his cult to defend him as usual*

Fwiw, that "cult" isn't only led by Valverde but also includes Julen Lopetegui, Luis Enrique and Robert Moreno.

Messi didn't train with the rest of the team in the final training session before the tomorrow's game.

So none of our top 4 most valuable/expensive forwards from last season are available in this match. Yikes!

    That’s a shockingly poor squad !!

Yes it is. More worrisome is that the only real omissions from this squad are Messi and an elderly Suarez (Dembele is seemingly always hurt to be considered). It's no wonder we can't win the Champions League, especially with a manager like Valverde. I think as fans our expectations have to be more tempered.

Not worth much at all, he's a fairly decent player but he shouldn't be starting at Barca, he's not good enough and anyone that does think he is good enough is quite simply wrong. Also, for fwiw, listing a bunch of managers that see something in him does not mean that he's any good, it just means that they are all wrong.

I’d guess Messi apart only about 5 of those would get into Liverpool’s squad with only FDJ starting ..

Messi v Salah is an interesting dilemma for the right side :)

Am I reading this right? We are comparing Salah and Messi now?

S Roberto staring ahead of Arthur. FML.

Messi clearly wins over Salah but agree that perhaps only one or two other Barca starters would start for Liverpool.

Other thsn Messi I'm struggling to see who in the current Barca team would get in the current Liverpool side, perhaps Pique ahead of Matip but that's it

Try forming your own opinions. He's not good enough.
