You know the USMNT is irrelevant in its own country when even African-American rappers root for Mexico over the US.

Or the US isn't playing atm. He is a casual fan and casuals will pull for the home team first but Mexico being a familiar face especially to someone from SoCal it is natural for him to root for Mexico since the US isn't there. If I wasn't a diehard fan who knows the storied rivalry between the two I would be rooting for them too.

That'd be the case if he was rooting for Canada

Yeah I was talking to a new LAFC fan and he said he'd be rooting for Mexico since the US isn't in it. New and casual fans gravitate towards Mexico. Fans who have been following since the guerra fria days will find it difficult to root for Mexico. Marquez elbowing Cobi, C. Blanco, El Matador, Dirty Sanchez all left a sour taste in our mouths. Enough for us to not want to root for them.

Why is a white like you calling a black guy son

His colors are red black green, but they don't have a team yet. Mexico is closer to the black community than you are, so it's logical he likes us and not you. He's even made multiple songs saying he doesn't like you.

    Cuz I can.
    Jebus, take it easy.

    What? South Central Kenya! Haha!
His colors are whatever he chooses. It is what's awesome about being from the U.S. of A.

Hahaha! Now THIS is funny. You're cute flaco.

It's not like his music has the staying power of Miles Davis. Now if Miles Davis or Jimi Hendrix sang about not liking people. Folks might have listened and cared. Besides once a guy does a movie like Are We There Yet, his hatred for ole' whitey must have plummeted.

Fyp. The entire West is multicultural now. Not just an America thing.

Diversity is our strenth. Unless you watch Faux News, then diversity is terrible.

I understand both sides of the spectrum, especially the Europeans. So no comment on all that.

Let's wrap up the Cube discussion with his Magnus Opus:

I wouldn't go that far though. I mean I'm sure there's something. But the bond probably has faced great obstacles as well.

You mean like a Brasil or Colombia or the DR and Haiti. Multicultural is what makes us from our Americas. Been this way for centuries. Breaking news I know.

The most diverse high school in the entire nation is here in Houston. There are 42 different languages spoken there. Before he passed, Anthony Bourdain came to Houston to tour the city for his show and see the people and our food. He specifically went to this high school for what it symbolized in this great nation of ours. Incredible diversity. Something us in Houston take great pride in.

    Right on.

Showing these clips of Ice Cube brings back some memories for sure. Thanks.
My buddies and I recall when Cube and NWA dropped their first album in 1988. We were 12 or 13 ish. I don't know how old you were in 1988? Maybe you were alive back then to enjoy 80's rap. Perhaps you were swimming around in your daddy's nut sack, who knows.
    PEACE!

Was watching Chelsea vs Burnley today and the show before it. They had an interview with JJ Watt and he is apparently a huge Chelsea fan.
