It's always odd to see which people who have absolutely nothing to do with "Movies, TV and Music" pop up around here.

    Strange.

Funny how the title says 'famous person is dead' and we've mostly settled on that compromise - either way - RIP Gregg, Jim.

Frontman of a great band, essentially created the "Southern" rock genres and pioneers of extended jammin'.

    RIP

Jimmie Piersall. Outfielder. 'Fear Strikes Out'

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Piersall

Jimmie did White Sox broadcasts and analysis on radio for a long time. He was Harry Carrys partner and didnt act the homer. Jimmy was on WSCR for ages. His radio work was ex-jock first rate. Hes got me choked up like I was when Yukon Moose Cholak died.

    Ball! Wall! Ball.

An obit for Jimmy Piersall was posted on Sunday in the Baseball forum... where it belonged.

He and Harry didn't always get along in the booth, which made the White Sox games must see in downstate II. My college roommate remembered Harry telling him to "go climb a backstop" in one of their disagreements, but I must've missed that one.

I seem to remember that the players' wives wanted to take a contract out on him: if I guy wasn't playing well, Jimmy would hone in on it. Often for several innings.

For my childhood memories, totally agree.

As a grown female, I actually like Micheal Keaton.

You missed about how while musicians may technically belong, most of the ones posted here don't *really* belong, because he doesn't like them.

It's his schtick. It's been his schtick. It's always going to be his schtick.

I was going to let this whole thing pass, but since it's now become a pile on...

Can someone tell me when I ever got upset over someone posting about a musician? Name the musician and provide a link. Do it NOW.

I was going to say "as far as ordering me around, fuck off NOW", but I suspect I know what your reaction would be. So:

What I actually wrote as "You missed about how while musicians may technically belong, most of the ones posted here don't *really* belong, because he doesn't like them." With that in mind:
There are other posts from you in this thread about how worthless rock is and how annoying it is for you to have to put out the incredible effort it must take you to simply not read obits about rock musicians posted in this forum. Stay strong.

And on another note, since this started with you complaining about someone from the world of baseball being posted here, here's you posting here about someone from the world of baseball:
And since you made a point of griping just above that:
. . .since it's so odd, here's some others from you that have nothing to do with "Movies, TV and Music" :

WIll this make you any less cranky at people doing the same thing you do?

    Hope this helps.

I overslept. But the Mothership hovered, knowledge was dropped off and the Mothership left. I really can't add anything else to the carnage

Guilty as charged! I've slipped up over the years. Good work. Won't happen again, believe me.

And keep posting the rock obits. It's good to see them dropping like flies.
