I am trying to win the lottery - could I secure your services? You seem to be operating a crystal ball there.

Fiction.:) When foreign players arrive in the Russian league, they usually show weak performance on the national team level, they often vanish from the football scene (Hulk). Also Russian players abroad have problems with adaptation with tactics, language (Arshavin, Kerzhakov, Berezutski). They all play in Russian league. It's hard to believe that they can evolve above: Spanish, English, German, Italian, Portuguese and French league. Even Dutch derby matches (Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV) seem much more interesting than Russian derbies. Russian league deserves seventh position in Europe.

Yes, temporarily the focus is on France because Portugal got that fluke 2010-11 season. Once that season drops out of the 5-year window, Portugal can forget about top 4 and go back to trying to cling to top 6. :p

For 2011-2012 to now, Portugal is fifth. Taking out 2010-2011 makes Portugal remain in fifth but fall much farther behind fourth and close to sixth place France and seventh place Russia.
