This. Darmian could use some action. Definitely Shaw. Even Fellaini could do with a start. Herrera, Rojo, Rashford. Bring 'em all on.
So pissed I didn't apply for tickets to the game, I could have been there for Alexis's debut! I'll be there for the Spurs away game though, so I probably shouldn't complain too much...
Yes but we do not need him for it. I'd go with a secondary team and give rest to the first team. Romero Darmian Lindelof Rojo Shaw Herrera Fellaini Mata Rashford Martial Lukaku
Yeovil's Otis Khan is hoping to get his red rescinded in order to face United in the FA Cup. www.bbc.com/sport/football/42772839
Definitely unleash Alexis, at least for one half. This one could get ugly really fast and there's no need to run up the score 6-0 or beyond.
Sanchez hasn't played in Arsenal's last 2 games. So while this "break" was no doubt good for him, it means he should be pretty fresh as well. Getting some minutes ahead of Tottenham would definitely be a good idea. Romero Darmian. Lindelof. Rojo. Shaw Herrera. Fellaini Sanchez. Mata. Martial Rashford
Sanchez played the majority of games in his club career on the right. That's where he played predominantly for Udinese and Barca. Plus Wenger has used him there on occasion. It's not at all as if playing on the right would be that big a deal tbh.
The pitch is not exactly a carpet. @ManUtd pic.twitter.com/eoiPWF0L0g— Stewart Gardner (@stewartgardner) January 23, 2018
Sanchez did start playing predominantly on the left until he came to Arsenal. Before then he played always exclusively on the right. However it could be argued his best seasons have come while playing LW. Certaintly his best numbers in terms of goals.
Yup. I’d love to see him and Lukaku swapping positions occasionally, with Lukaku isolating a FB and Sanchez running at CBs.
The FA have rejected Khan's appeal, calling it 'frivolous', they have tacked an additional 2 games to his 3gm suspension.
If Sanchez is available for this one, I say start him. He hasn't played in a little while and he needs to get some minutes to get used to the team and system before relevant games.
I would give him the last 30 minutes or so to get the feel of his teammates. I wouldn't risk for 60 minutes.
Why? He hasn't played in weeks. He needs some game time to get used to his new teammates, system, and to get back in form. What better time then in a meaningless cup game against lower competition. I'd give him 60 or so here, bring him off the bench against Huddersfield, and then if things are clicking start him against Spurs. This also gives one of our front 4 a rest which is needed before the games start really piling up here soon between PL, FA Cup, and CL.

I would play Sanchez 80 to 90 minutes. Get him off to a good, confidence building start. I’d let him come off the bench for the Spurs match then he can start again against Huddersfield.
There’s no “risk” in playing Sanchez 60 minutes any more than playing 30 minutes. Start the Chilean and if the score allows it take him off after 60 minutes.
The main risks are the state of the pitch and the risk of overeager Yeovil players lacking control on the tackle. I'd probably give him the 2nd half. If it was a home game I'd have no problem giving him the whole match.
