The decline of this site was predictable given the moderation changes. I said it at the time and it has came to pass. The likes of Clan and Rick are solely missed.
Remember the glory days of board invasions circa 2005? e.g Prawn and co vs the Arse board after the FA Cup final. For all that everyone moaned about "troll invasions" those were actually some of the best times in hindsight.
Look Jitty, we tried to allow objective discussion into our board from everybody....but the last 10 years has proven non United fans just can't get past their complete hatred for everything United. This is why they cant watch a game with an objective viewpoint. We'll miss out on the 2% content of objectivity that happens on a occasion, but it will get rid of the 98% blinkered bullshit. It's a good trade to save the board.
Agreed. The old guard let things flow, sometimes to the anger of their own board, but their replacements immediately cracked down when they finally had the tools to pursue their vendettas. Everything deteriorated from then on and now the boards are effectively individual clubs silos were you need to follow the party line.
We need more non-pro-United posters here. Some of the people here let their emotional attachment to a billion dollar company distort their view of football.
Prawn was awesome. He knew his stuff. And his music, too. Opposing viewpoints are a good thing. What you're asking for just leads to echo chambers.
The supermod has told me, that he will watch me on the forum to see how much respect I command (loads obviously), and the control I have over various issues. @Kazuma, this is your first warning. We welcome all posters to our forum...but we cant have people trying to incite trouble, by calling for negativity against Manchester United. Feel free to tell us the good times under Jose Mourinho, and how he may be the best manager in the world.
United have been fined £20k as a result of being guilty of failing to control their players in Monday's game. Standard punishment for such an offense apparently.
@Karloski last few posts reminded me of when you "stopped" supporting United and then came back and said you didn't want to talk about it!
Ahhh... the Moyes year. That was hard to take. Who knew then we'd be no further forward 2 managers and 15 players later. Remember how realistic we all thought we were when Fergie left. Saying how we understand that we probably wouldn't win the title for a few years, but we'd have to settle for some second and thirds, and maybe a couple of cups.
