Gladbach defeat Bayern 2-1 and maintain their 1st place position in the Bundesliga. DNP for Johnson. Bayern will end the weekend in either 6th or 7th.

How many appearances does a player need to earn a Bundesliga winners medal? I'm asking on behalf of a few players (Fabian Johnson, Tyler Adams, and Giovanni Reyna).

Fabio wasn't on the bench either. Injured again?

Yeah, I’m interested what’s going on with Fabian. Transfer market lists him as healthy. Does anyone have any information on the status of his injury, or if BM just doesn’t include him in their match day squad because they have better options?

Given his injury history, I assume he's recovering poorly from his hamstring injury and suffered some kind of setback.

Eberl seems to declare that Johnson, Raffael and Traore won't leave this Winter.
    https://www.sport.de/news/ne3910275...o-auf-abstellgleis-muss-laut-manager-bleiben/

    from the article
Traoré and Johnson struggled with large parts of the first half of the season with injuries, but hardly made it into the Borussia matchday squad even after overcoming them in December. Thus, the trio will probably continue to exist as a spectator.

honestly reads like they don't want to replace them now but Summer is more likely and Johnson does have expiring 2020 contract. Always easier to find players in Summer over Winter.

Johnson is being linked with HSV who are interested in him. Makes sense Hecking the coach of HSV was ex Gladbach coach.

Let’s see if he’s healthy enough to make the squad!

Goes 87 minutes at RB in the 3-1 win. Had a decent game. Didnt have any scares defensively. Helped bring up the ball on the right and had a couple crosses. He had a collision in the 2nd half i thought for sure would have injured him but kept playing for almost 10 more minutes

He still is probably our besr fulbacks when it comes to deciding what to do, pass back, square, pass forward, dribble, cross.

Johnson was subbed on at 95:29 in the second half.

The final whistle blew at 96:36, and Gladbach held on to a 2-2 draw.

Turned - and already reached a result, as Eberl indicated. It is about the expiring contracts of Raffael, Oscar Wendt, Fabian Johnson and Tobias Strobl. With Strobl and Johnson, the signs point to separation

All four, Eberl reported, "know the planning of the club. As it should be with deserving players, there have of course been discussions for a long time".

With Strobl and Johnson, the signs point to separation. Johnson in particular could actually continue to play a role in Marco Rose's squad as an extremely versatile professional. Too often, however, the US international dives completely off on his assignments, is often quite pale and is on the verge of dropping out at Borussia.
