Watching the game on a crap stream. Bayern has controlled play early on, really boring game to be honest.

Fabian had some nice defending on Rafinha on the left side of Gladbachs side, besides that, he's just playing little one-twos in the midfield

FJ has twice been the target of goal kicks up the left. The first time it was too far for him, the second he chested it out of play.

Wow, what a Gladbach-y goal. Herrmann gets onto a nice long ball, crosses it to an open Raffael at the top of the box, who blasts it at Neuer. Neuer promptly Robert Green's it.

Gladbach seems to be going mostly through Herrmann on the right, when they do get the ball (which is rare).

PS. Robben had to be subbed out due to injury in the 24th minute. Bayern replaces him with one of the top WC goalscorers Thomas Mueller off the bench. Ridiculous.

Stranzl just saved a sure fire goal by beating Lewandowski to a header. Result: terrible clash of heads. Lewandwski still on the ground.

FJ just got a pretty good pass from Herrmann on the counter at the top of the box. He had a chance to shoot but decided to cut back and the ball got stuck under him. He passed back to Wendt but the dangerous chance was over. :(

FJ again had the ball near the box but this time was well-covered. He passed out wide to an onrushing Wendt whose cross was easily cleared.

In the 70th minute Bayern has made all 3 subs while BMG has made 0.

    Gladbach still leads 0-1.

Andre Hahn blasts a shot that Neuer parries onto the crossbar.

Then Hahn is subbed out for Kruse. Apparently he ran over 11 km in the game so far.

    2-0 another counter

Herrmann with a nice lead pass to Kramer, who draws a bunch of defenders and feeds Raffael who is open and slides the ball under Neuer.

    Great game from Gladbach overall.

Wendt on another counter crosses to no one. Kruse a step behind the ball.

Oh no FJ! He can't succeed in front of goal.

He makes a nice run peeling off the defender and is completely alone going in on goal. Kruse is making a far post run. FJ looks like he can't decide whether to shoot or pass - he "passes" to the far post but it's way too far for Kruse to reach. I think he should have just blasted it on goal.

Kruse is in almost the same position FJ was in before, running up the left with the ball unimpeded. But there is other runner so he just shoots; saved well by Neuer.

Last BMG sub: Nordtveit in for Herrmann. FJ going 90.

Ended as a 0-2 win for Gladbach. Great counterattacking game.

Stranzl was amazing in central defense; Herrmann was for the standout in the attack but everyone played well. Johnson played within the team, but he had a few moments, which he should have done better in.

The 3 points put Gladbach into 3rd with a 2 point lead on Bayer. (7 pts behind Wolfsburg)
