Thanks for keeping us updated , a league with 9 teams??..... lool are they serious in England??...So one team will be force to rest every week end...I've never seen something like that ,I think it never existed at least in Europe. Beattie-Houghton will be a very interesting partnership , just like Renard-Georges or Dieme-Beattie , one physical ,strong, fast , the other intelligent, technical , excellent at starting gameplay from the back, excellent recruitment .
One semi-bizzare transfer : Elli Stewart goes back to Everton Ladies after spending 2 years at Liverpool Ladies .@LFCladies can today confirm that @EllieStewart96 will be joining @EvertonLadies - http://t.co/Ztdoh4Ccb2 pic.twitter.com/zJQIZf8tfR— Liverpool FC Women (@LiverpoolFCW) January 2, 2015 She wants game time before the U19 Euros in Israel.
I agree with Debzy: what's the logic behind creating a league with 9 teams, if only for just one transition-season? Couldn't they just get to 10 teams right away?
And the best is in 2018 ALL the licences will be up for renewal, all the 20 clubs. Manchester United could decide to invest in women's football to compete with City or Liverpool and could come straight in WSL 1 from nothing...
FA Cup round 3 FA WSL 2 teams enter the competition ( in bold) Oxford United v Coventry City Blackburn Rovers or Liverpool Marshall Feds v Portsmouth Doncaster Rovers Belles v London Bees Yeovil Town v Lewes Radcliffe Olympic v Durham Bradford City v FC Reedswood Aston Villa v Sunderland Morecambe v Stoke City Carshalton Athletic v Keynsham Town Millwall Lionesses v Lowestoft Town Crystal Palace v Reading Charlton Athletic v Wolverhampton Wanderers C&K Basildon v Sheffield FC Eastbourne Town v Derby County Tottenham Hotspur v Preston North End Watford v Brighton & Hove Albion So 9 WSL 2 teams rather than 10 are entering and 1 WSL 1 team as well....while the FA WSL 1 teams enter in Round 5 but a FA WSL 2 team will enter in Round 5 rather than Round 3. Confused ? Blame the FA that organised the Round exemptions before the FA WSL had delivered verdict on promotion/relegation.
Notts County with the tweet of the day replying to one of their fans : Notts are stupid for letting Rachel Corsie leave.— Gemma. ⚽🏳️🌈 (@GemmaCoupland) January 13, 2015 @GemmaCoupland maybe something's are not in the clubs control, and stupid seems a little unfair? #fullstory— Notts County Ladies (@Official_NCLFC) January 13, 2015

They look forward to being slaughtered by Francfort, some of their players are still negociating with other WSL 1 teams.
The biggest joke about this club is that they announced weeks ago that they were seeking to give up home advantage in the second leg against Frankfurt because they knew that a likely minimum 5 goal beating in Germany would mean no one would turn up for the second leg. All this cos they couldn't hire the precious men's team ground they are linked to on the original second leg date...like there are NO other football grounds in the South West ! After admitting all this defeatism weeks ago, we have heard absolutely nothing else since about the whole sorry affair...no idea when and where the two matches are happening Of course this is the club who changed their colours from blue to red because they cut their ties with the 'blue' Bristol men's team, Rovers, and palled up with the 'red' Bristol men's team. City. The two clubs hate each other.....

Well rumours going round say Arsenal or the NWSL... could be Liverpool as well. Last year rumour were her wages request was £16,000 per season.
Thanks for the update Shlj , Man city will be impressive next season...Bronze , Houghton, Beattie, Stokes is a very very impressive defense, Lucy and Demi bombing on the flanks will be England biggest asset for long time ...if Sampson finally realise that Bronze is one of (for me potentially the best) right back in the world. Interesting Arsenal and Chelsea recruitment, Bristol it's over, Notts County I like, I was worry for Liverpool women section future after so many player left but they signed that beast.....Asisat Oshoala
