I don't get the match on tv, so just going from bbc or tottenham hotspur fc website To confirm we're 4-2-3-1 - Trippier, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Davies; Dier, Winks; Sissoko, Onomah, Nkoudou; Son.
less than a minute in Almost a dream start for Wycombe. The ever-green Adebayo Akinfenwa heads across the face of goal for Paul Hayes, completely alone at the far post, but he clips the bar with a close range effort. The visitors are all over Spurs at the moment.
Jan 28 2017 9:08 AM 6.35 - SAVE - VORM Blackman punted long free-kick into the box, Akinfenwa attacked it, won it, downward header needed the save from Vorm.
18.30 - CHANCE - SPURS Best chance yet. O'Nien's left his header home short, Blackman got the punch all wrong and Son onto the loose ball, right angle, defenders in the way, rolled his effort inches wide.
new faces but same old story, poor defense on corners 22.47 - Goal to Wycombe - Hayes - 0-1 Jacobsen's corner headed high by Onomah, Hayes full volley into the top corner from 12 yards.
26.39 - OFF THE LINE - SPURS Nkoudou left side, cross parried out by Blackman, Son in there, blocked, Sissoko follow up cleared off the line.
CLOSE! Tottenham are determined to not be the victim of an FA Cup upset and are all over Wycombe as goalscorer Paul Hayes is back to clear an effort off the line, before Son Heung-min's drive towards the far post is palmed away. Lively stuff at Spurs.
34.01 - CHANCE - SPURS Carter-Vickers strode forward, precise pass into Son, right angle, fired just wide.
34.45 - Penalty to Wycombe Carter-Vickers foul on Wood. 35.55 - Goal to Wycombe - Hayes - penalty - 0-2
Tottenham 0-2 Wycombe Garth Crooks Former Spurs striker on Final Score Posted at9:41 I don't think it was a penalty. But, when you go to ground in the area, you run the risk. If I'm Mauricio Pochettino I'm using this as an opportunity to see how a few players who don't usually make it into the first 11 to see how they deal with the big occasion. At the moment they aren't dealing with it at all.
doesn't sound as bad as the Liverpool match tho. spurs are at least attacking and shooting. but the defense needs work. shots 11-9 shots on target 2-4 corners 7-1 possession 79%-21%
Need to get our heavy hitters on to turn this (Dele, Dembele, Wanyama etc.) Some play well as individuals, but it's telling that they've not played as much together as a first selection have. Lots of players showing their inexperience as well - Carter-Vickers, Onomah, even Winks although he's been decent overall. Vorm rusten, Sissoko poor, Son missing a sitter. Trippier our best so far. Well deserved by Wycombe, they've come to have a go. Penalty call was correct, Wycombe player wanted it, but you can't say anything against it when CCV slides in like that without getting any of the ball.
Jan 28 2017 10:03 AM 4.02pm - HT SUB - SPURS Janssen for Nkoudou. was nkoudou that bad? cuz I woulda guessed onomah
PENALTY APPEAL Tottenham 0-2 Wycombe Posted at10:13 Vincent Janssen's first involvement in this half see him bundle his way into the area before tumbling under a challenge. Spurs fans want a penalty, but in truth Janssen went down too easily after his first touch sent the ball away from him. Son Heung-min twice goes close soon after. Wycombe are having a lot of defending to do.
59.45 - GOAL - SPURS - SON - 1-2 Trippier's corner headed skywards, ball fell to Son, left side, worked a yard and blasted home at the near post.
