Great game for Julie Fleeting. Here is the recap from the BBC:

Julie Fleeting scored a brilliant hat-trick to earn Arsenal Ladies victory in the FA Women's Cup final against Charlton Ladies at Loftus Road.

Fleeting put the Gunners ahead by slotting in from close-range after good work from Leanne Sanderson.

She doubled the lead by cutting in from the right and rifling in from 15 yards.

Carmine Walker's saved header was Charlton's closest effort but Fleeting completed her hat-trick with another composed finish near the end.

The Gunners were on top right from the start, Fleeting and 16-year-old Sanderson in particular causing Charlton all sorts of problems.

But it was the Addicks who had the first opening, Walker turning smartly in the box only to see her shot comfortably saved by Emma Byrne.

Arsenal took the lead when Sanderson found space down the right and Fleeting converted her cross and Fleeting's individual effort gave them a 2-0 half-time cushion.

Charlton could find no way back into the game after the break, only Walker's header from a Casey Stoney cross easily gathered by Byrne.

Fleeting completed her treble five minutes from the end with another smart finish and almost set up Ellen Maggs for a fourth at the death.

Arsenal Ladies: Byrne, Pealling, Fleeting (Alex. Scott 90), Ludlow, Champ, White, Ciara Grant, Maggs (Lorton 90), Wheatley, Sanderson (Potter 73), Anita Asante.
    Subs not used: Williams, Harwood.

Charlton Athletic Ladies: Cope, Casey Stoney, Fara Williams, Hills, Murphy, Broadhurst, Barr, Walker, Fletcher (Coss 70), Heatherson (Aluko 70), Smith (Hunn 81).
    Subs not used: Law, Rea.

    Booked: Cope.

    Attendance: 12,244.

    Referee: A. Rayner (Leicestershire).

Julie also played the entire game against Germany the day before, scoring the only goal for Scotland in the 3-1 loss. Congratulations to her and the Lady Gunners.

And something that I missed and wished that I'd been able to see/hear before the game was a short interview with the Lady Gunner's captain, Fay White; who is quite well-spoken.

Women’s FA Cup final on Saturday, with a competition-record crowd expected – topping the 32,912 at last year’s Arsenal win over Chelsea. It’s still not likely, though, to beat the 53,000 crowd at Goodison Park in 1920 for the Dick, Kerr and Co ammunitions factory women’s side versus St Helens Ladies. Some 14,000 more fans were shut out – evidence of the huge continued post-first world war popularity of the women’s game. Here’s some silent Dick, Kerr’s footage: the players posing with the mayor before facing Ellesmere Port Cement Works; film of the team departing on their 1922 Canadian tour; players boxing during training; and some more training footage, which left Pathé News impressed: “‘Weaker sex?’ said the captain of the famous Dick Kerr women’s football team. ‘Not much weakness about us.’ Watching their training, we agreed.” The FA responded to the Dick, Kerr’s phenomenon with a defining ruling: banning women’s football at all its members’ grounds because: “Football is quite unsuitable for females and ought not to be encouraged.” The tone of Pathé commentary in the years that followed matched that spirit, showing what female players were up against – “After you Maud, and nice work by Gertie the goalie.”
The ban was lifted in 1971.
