We liked it so much the first time around, we're doing it again!

Barkley (not signed in time?), Fabregas (hamstring), Cahill (muscle) all not able to play. Ampadu likely to feature. No word on whether Carroll will feature.

Beer pairing: I've honestly stayed away from beer lately. Christ, I'm getting old and it really messes with you the day after. But I did have this Zero Gravity (Burlington, VT) IPA the other night that was stellar. Not too hoppy, but lots of punch and just enough fruit. It's called Little Birdy.

^agreed. the youth would at least show some real energy, which is what has been lacking. no point in sticking to the same old when the same old isn't working. clearly some senior players need a rest.

I think we've seen managers stick to their favorites over the unknown in youth. I think we'll see a light mix of youth, but nothing major.

Thought I read that Barkley could make his debut in this match the other day. Did we miss a player registration deadline or something like that?

Thats what Conte alluded to this morning.

"Conte says Ross Barkley is unable to play tomorrow because he didn't sign in time, but he is likely to feature in a friendly and could be ready for the weekend."

the rule is since it's a replay, the eligibility window is that same as the original fixture. only players that were eligible for the first fixture are eligible for the replay. meaning Barkley misses it by 5 hours.

Not sure what this means but it's been almost 5 hours of games without a goal.

    (it means nothing)

I am off to the game this evening. I have never left a game early but if this goes to extra time I am out of there. Recently 95 or so minutes has been hard enough to endure can't take anymore.

well i'd say the first quarter of the game chelsea really looked up for it. creating changes, keeping pressure and possession. last 10 minutes or so heads have started to drop a little with no breakthrough or reward for the early chances. really need to keep up the positive attitude out there.

also i'll be surprised if Kennedy doesn't get some sort of retro active punishment for a lash out.

must say Baka has looked shaky, and Bats can't get anything to work. if he just trapped the ball he'd be better off but he's wanting to constantly try a flick of some sort.

so Kenedy assisted a Bats goal earlier. it's 1-0. but since then Caballero made an incredible save to keep us in the lead.

I'd like a replay on the run that Morata made and laid a pass off to Willian

Now Azpi has to play another 30

okay okay wait. willian just got booked for diving in the box, and there was video replay in the booth, and he was CLEARLY clipped and there was contact. so i need to understand exactly why that wasn't a penalty.

a player can't be expected to have to jump over a leg that's in the way, especially when he is trying to and gets clipped anyway. the leg was there, it made contact....

by the way, luiz is moving a tad gingerly right now. he doesn't look 100% comfortable.

well we went from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 at the end to lock it up. it didn't work, so hazard just came on for DD and it's back to 3-4-3 with pedro as LWB.

what's weird about this team right now is not that the team lacks any ideas, it's that the execution of any idea is just so poor. nothing works and final touches are off every single time.

seriously, i've so many almosts except for one bad touch it's absurd. chelsea are ALL OVER norwich right now with nothing to show for it.

Kicking the ball at the opposing gk seems to not work. Wonder why.
