I think that’s right unfortunately. It might be Adrian as the keeper and then Jones, Williams and Elliot. Probably that’s it for the kids starting. Chirivella and Larouci on the bench.
LOL Play the reserves/kids in this one, no complaints from me here... if they can get past Everton, no reason to not field them now. Would be nice to see Lovren/Matip/Shaq, but also would like Jones & Elliott to get another runout... as suss said, seems to be plenty of options for this one.
Just another match for the reserves and youth, nothing to be worried about I don't think? Should be able to handle it.
It's Shrewsbury !!! Play the kids !!! After their display vs a highly-motivated Premier League team containing a number of internationals anything else would be dissing them. the only change should be at CB (Phillips has returned to Stuttgart). it's Shrewsbury !!!
We are at Wolves on a Thursday, at Schrewsbury on a Sunday, and at West Ham on the Wednesday. Klopp will almost certainly make 11 changes for the FA Cup match.
Nothing wrong with that. IMO.... It's nice when the kids get to play but we should be playing in th Cup with the primary objective of winning it and eliminating draw replays where feasible.... (like Shrewsbury)
But a replay would just be another chance for the reserves/youth to play another game? At Anfield. Don't think that's a bad thing. Only thing to really hope they avoid is a loss.
One of the fun parts of the cup for us Yanks is learning the various small towns and villages in England. STFC were formed in 1886. They have a 9,875 seat stadium called Montgomery Waters Meadow or The New Meadow. It's 100% covered seating. They're managed by Sam Ricketts - a former PL'er for Hull and Bolton.
My maternal grandmother was born in Shropshire, (Stoke upon Tern) but lived in Liverpool before emigrating to the USA. When I started following English football, I had to choose between Shrewsbury and Liverpool. I chose wisely, but I do have a warm spot in my heart for the Shrews. asitis
In my late teens our idea of weekend fun was to ride our bikes into Wales. Either to join some time trials or just try our chances in the Welsh mts. Then Main way was to Ferry across the Mersey but often we'd ride and cross the river at Runcorn. Then down through Shrewsbury. There was a great spot on the River Dee we always stopped for a swim there. Shrewsbury was an important town way back. The crossing place into wales or NW England. Henry 1V fought one of the battles of the War of the Roses there. Luckily it's been bypassed in the modern era so it still has that old charm.
The second best team on Merseyside won their 4th round match today against Watford. Tranmere 2 Watford !
If the kids win the replay- we get a trip to the Bridge: https://talksport.com/football/fa-c...l-shrewsbury-chelsea-manchester-united-derby/
