On other threads, people are going gaga about the notion that Thailand could advance by winning this match by 15-0...

05' 0-0 Sáez jumps backward facing to 5m 1/4 left for a backheader try, Boonsing comes out and punches away, body-slams her down while being-undercut. Stoppage for Boonsing ... she resumes. 10' 0-0 Urrutia shot blocked 11' 0-0 Urrutia ck, backpass to 13m wide right, high cross to 3m center, Boonsing double-blocks away off Sáez's head. Araya settles at 9m center, shoots waist-high right roundhouse to 3m center, Chinwong twist-heads leftward off right post. Backpass to box top left post, Lara shoots one-touch left outstep, just over crossbar 1/4 right. Off the post for Chile!!!Chile miss out on two huge chances as they need to win by 3 goals to have any chance of going to the knockout stage. https://t.co/CHilHuf5sf— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) June 20, 2019 15' 0-0 Aedo cross, Urrutia header wide left 16' 0-0 Urrutia shoots high 17' 0-0 Aedo pass, Araya shoots wide left Chile feel the urgency. Thailand are playing their usual compact lurking.
Chile wasted a PK from wanting to shoot directly in goal from a very lateral position instead of crossing in the box. They've got the false idea that any ball that's thrown directly at Boonsing can be a goal!
I get the message that they find Dangda and Endler the prettiest players of each team, but how on earth you put a Dangda's picture next to the line-up in the only game she can't play because she's been disqualified for double YC?
32' 0-0 Intamee cuts inside to 12m mid-left, shoots right instep to left post low, Endler smothers. Sáez stretches out right heel and micro-deflects ball juuuust wide right low. Intamee shoots it just wide for Thailand! They continue to put the pressure on Chile as the game remains scoreless. https://t.co/v0VeezidBz— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) June 20, 2019 38' 0-0 Thailand right ck, poorly hit, inswings into right side netting.
I am only watching this game from time to time (maybe I should watch it more, because, at first glance, looks more interesting than USA-Sweden is being), but it seems to me that Intamee and Sung-Ngoen keep looking way more dangerous than much more heralded Miranda Nild is. Also, if it wasn't for the fact that Chile have Edler in goal, I'd say that at the moment a Thai win looks much more likely than a Chile's one. A qualifying 3-0 from Chile looks like a long, long shot right now.
Chile forwards and attacking mids should try to shoot more. Boonsing isn't exactly a giant and she has punched or spilled quite a lot balls already.
Chile had three chances already. Twice they hit the bar, once had penalty shout waived. One can get the feeling that either Chile will score and open the bag or Thailand will do it instead on one of their rare counters.
40' 0-0 Sung-Ngoen drives a fast lob from 25m center to goalline center, Endler hops and pushes it over bar. 45+2' (of +2') 0-0 Chile backpass to Balmaceda at 27m arc left, she shoots right instep no bend across mouth, off right 90, it bounces away to box right and Thailand collect. WOW. Inches away! Rosario Balmaceda hits the crossbar in what would have been an easy goal of the tournament contender. https://t.co/CC315JeGyL— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) June 20, 2019 HT 0-0. Both sides are taking shots. Thailand are very composed and precise in the back, and Chile can't overpower them with speed and height.
Thailand 4(2)-(3)13 shots(sog), 2-1 corners, 1-0 offsides, 4-3 fouls, 8-1 tackles, 20-2 clearances, 41% possession, 62% (96/156) - (264/319) 83% passing. Chile are pushing to score 3, so Thailand defend. On counters, Thailand are somewhat more high-risk. 46' 0-0 Chile subs in (1 of 3) #13 Javiera Grez for CM #8 Karen Araya.
46' 0-0 Balmaceda(?) crosses from 10m wide left to 4m center, Boonsing punches off Urrutia(?)'s head. Ball drops to Grez unmarked at 10m left post, she swings left roundhouse half-volley and drives it just wide left low. That was the chance ... 48' 0-1 Chile long diagonal pass from circle tangent front right to box top wide right, Zamora boxes out Srangthaisong, follows the bounce to 10m box right. Sliding backpass to 13m 5-right, Aedo runs on and shoots right instep low through box, off left post low, it bounces square right to 1m center -- off Boonsing's left instep, into center back low. Own goal for sure, that rebound was anti-goalward until it found a mirror Chile's first-ever #FIFAWWC goal is an own goal off of Thailand's goalkeeper. https://t.co/8i1f5ysgje— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) June 20, 2019
Now I started 2nd half watching CHI-THA. This could be just happening: Chile came back from the HT break much more determined. They wasted an early chance by putting it wide and then, after they hit a post, Boonsing scores the most awkward-looking of own-goal! Don't want to bash too much on Boonsing, but having her and Endler in the same match looks like a top-to-bottom clash for what concerns goalkeeping at this World Cup!
