Real Esteli has their home stadium approved from CONCACAF to play the CCL. Other Central American clubs should learn from Esteli's example http://futbolnica.net/noticias-destacadas/13-destacadas/852-independencia-cumple-concacaf-da-el-si
Nicaragua's U20 team lost 2-3 to Costa Rica. They played Costa Rica well and Costa Rica needed a goal in extra time to come out with the win. http://futbolnica.net/categorias/seleccion/867-ticos-sub-20-con-sufrida-victoria-ante-nicaragua
Nicaragua beats Honduras 1-0 in U20 WCQ and advances to the next round along with Costa Rica. Honduras gets knocked out despite being the host.

http://www.concacaf.com/page/AssociationNewsDetail/0,,12813~2974579,00.html is titled " Four in search of Nicaraguan league title."
They have played some local club teams leading up to the tournament Here is the call up for the tournament http://futbolnica.net/index.php?opt...centroamericana-&catid=28:seleccion&Itemid=32
Well alot has happened over the six months since last reported on this thread. Firstly. first division will have 10 teams up from the previous 8 (these are Walter Ferretit, Diriangen, Managua FC, Juventus Managua, Jalapa, Real Madriz, Real Madriz and Chinadega) also in other news and frankly i think its a bad idea teams will be allowed to have 6 foreinger players and five can be on the field at one time. I truly believe they should have been 4 or 3 to allow the club to chase really valuable foreign players and also allow youth/homegrown players a chance to play.
Nicaragua Recently started with 4 rounds passong here are the results so far Round 1 Ferretti 1-1 Jalapa Real Esteli 2-0 Juventus Diriagen 2-2 Chinadega Managua 4-1 Real Madriz Ocotal 2-0 San Marcos round 2 Juventus 1-1 Ocotal Jalapa 1-1 Diriagen Real Madriz 0-2 Walter Ferretti San Marcos 1-1 Managua Chinandega 2-2 Real Esteli Round 3 Diriagen 2-0 Real Madriz Juventus 2-1 Chinandega Ocotal 1-2 Managua San Marcos 0-0 Walter Ferretti Real Esteli 5-2 Jalapa Round 4 Real Madriz 1-0 Real esteli Managua 2-3 Walter Ferretti San Marcos 0-3 Diriagen Jalapa 2-2 Juventus Chinandega 1-1 Ocotal Interesting notes on the league: they are allowed six foreign players in their roster though only 5 can eb on the field at the same time (there are fifteen Hondurans, ten Colombians, five Uruguayan, three Spaniard, one Argentinian, one Guatemalan, one Swedish, one Venezuelan, one Japanese, and one Brazilian). Also Nicaragua have two players playing abroad Axel Villanueva is playing for Tauro FC in Panama while Raul Leguis is currently playing for Cerro Largos in uruguay first division.
I thought I'd post a picture of the home and away football tops. The one on the left was bought in 2013 in Managua and the one on the right (Blue) was bought several years ago. I bought the scarf in Los Angeles. We have great football tops and we should feel great pride wearing them. I noticed that them logo/emblem/crest has become a little smaller over the years but as long as it fits the players then we're good.
Next up I am posting the football top for Walter Ferretti of Managua Nicaragua. This shirt was bought in June of 2013 in Managua at the police station. Very polite and kind staff. I watched Walter Ferretti play Managua FC. Great match.
