I have over 250 Wii + Gamecube games flying around, and I'm thinking of cleaning up the mess. However, the tykes & kiddos around still play them from time to time. So I'm putting everything in an external drive. I know it better be desktop (own power supply), and I got the programs needed to put the disks into the drive and load the drive from the USB ports at the back of the unit. All I need now is figure what drive (make/model) will work best. Any ideas? For the amount of games, I calculate I need a 1TB HD.
You need a special program to rip the Wii and Gamecube disks because I remember reading they get spun in the opposite direction of a regular disk.
This thread has posts going into July 2015 so the info on doing this would be pretty current. https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...backup-wii-gamecube-and-wiiware-games.360687/ I always have at least one backup to my externals though as the frickers seem to go on the fritz with the slightest bump.
