What?!?? They actually penalize a diver? No way! I can't recall seeing this since Sabo or Fabi got a yellow back when they were actually scoring goals...
Remember Fito Ovalle? He's back in USL. Just signed with TFC2. https://www.torontofc.ca/post/2019/...valle-trevor-swartz-and-patrick-bunk-andersen
Watching some USL during halftime of the RSL-DCU game and saw ex-RSL defender Shawn Barry storm up the left, make a couple of great touches to get around two defenders, and slide a terrific low cross to a teammate for a goal. He's with Tampa Bay Rowdies.

A little more background here Talk about a fall from grace. The draft is always rough nowadays but sheesh, to go from that high of a pick to the 3rd division is quite something.
One thing about the draft from when we joined the league to today, is that pick 33 would have been near the middle of the fourth round in 2005.
Not an ex-RSL player, but former club president Bill Manning was called out by Jozy Altidore last night: "Altidore was coming off a match which saw him forced off in the 82nd-minute with what manager Greg Vanney called hamstring tightness following his assist on Jordan Hamilton's game-winner. “We'll see, hopefully better,” said Altidore when asked how he was feeling. “This could have been avoided, but you'll have to ask Bill Manning [club president] why it's not. It's just disappointing, I'm just disappointed. “We had a trainer here the last three years that has been helping me avoid muscle injuries, but because he was attached to Seba [Giovinco, transferred in January], he's not allowed in the club, which I think is ridiculous,” explained Altidore. “And so now, this is what I'm faced with. “Hopefully he can put his ego aside and I can get the guy that has kept me healthy, kept Michael [Bradley] healthy, kept a bunch of guys healthy and we can move forward,” continued Altidore. “To run a club, you've got to put your ego aside and put the players first... hopefully, that will change.”
Can we snatch up the guy Altidore is talking about? Anyway, Altidore has always blamed someone else for his problems.
but people tell me that all the athletic trainers are essentially the same whenever I bring up our injury record and question how guys keep their jobs at RSL...
Looks like Jozy got his wish. He's working with the trainer again. http://northerntribune.ca/toronto-fc-jozy-altidore-trainer/
Saw a familiar name on the bench for the Monarchs opponent tonight. Here is your Bold starting XI for tonight’s match against @RealMonarchs.El Niño de Austin, Julian Gaines, gets into into the 18 for the first time this season. #GoBold #DaleBold pic.twitter.com/EZB12OSIHI— Austin Bold FC (@AustinBoldFC) April 26, 2019 I'd totally missed this signing, but cool that Demar is sticking around in pro soccer.
No idea. Several questions from fans about what is up that are unanswered on their version of Soapbox. He isn't now and has not previously been on the injury report.
