It was definitely positive towards us, so I'd hope if we did something like this he would accept it. Even if he wouldn't do it for the higher ups at the club, I'd hope he'd do it for us fans.
Impressive execution of the lesser-known backward dive. Sucks for Yura. I wonder if the Allsvenskan does post-game film review and gives out cards and suspensions.
To add insult to injury, the google translated version of this article says he was sent off for balding
He got the foul, right? Why is he freaking out? Just laugh at the guy saying you dove (who then dives, there is some irony)
Current crop of ex-RSL players on MLS rosters in 2018, as near as I can figure: Enzo Martinez (Colorado) Arturo Alvarez and Chris Seitz (Houston) Tim Melia (Kansas City) Collen Warner (Minnesota), Will Johnson, Chris Schuler, and Donny Toia (Orlando) Jeff Attinella (Portland) Aaron Maund (Vancouver) Kreis still leads the league in this category.
It would be very Luis Gil to jog from Mexico to Houston given the various cartel influences in those towns between
is he one of the few they're actually flying out to Russia or is he calling games while watching TV like the rest of us?
Watching us not score goals and not have anyone on the bench had me thinking of ex-RSLers. * Fabian Espindola went from DC to Vancouver in July 2016, then immediately to Nexaca in LigaMX. He scored five goals in 32 games for them, then went to Albacete Balompie of the Spanish Segunda on a free transfer last summer. No goals in 12 games saw him released, and he's sans club. * Olmes Garcia was picked up by San Jose in the Re-Entry draft at the end of the 2016 season, but was not signed for 2017. He went to America de Cali in his native Colombia and scored four in 21 games. A couple of sites say he is on loan with Real Oviedo in the Spanish Segunda, but he's not listed on their official website (and not on the America de Cali site either). The loan is up in June. * Alvaro Saborio had signed with his first club, Saprissa, last January or so, and scored one goal in four games. But after a game where he missed some chances, ugly personal attacks and threats to his family from disgruntled fans prompted him to retire suddenly. But he signed with a second-division Costa Rican club last summer - AD San Carlos - and I believe he is still playing for them (based on his Twitter feed). * Devon Sandoval led the forward line for the NASL champion San Francisco Deltas last year (the team folded at the end of the season); he scored four goals in 28 games. He then signed with Atlanta II of the USL; he has played in all six games for them so far, starting two with 240 total minutes (but no goals). The team is 1-3-2.
Not in the 18 IIRC. Nor tonight at home against Tulsa. Two starts and 96 total minutes in their 8 games; must be injured.
If he's really with the team, then you can watch Chris Wingert with Cosmos B in the opening round of the US Open Cup against the Brooklyn Italians in about an hour, here.
According to the NYCosmos twitter, he was in the starting 11. Also, they lost 3-2. Just for the record. The Italians are an amateur team. Sorry, Chris.
Luis Gil made his debut for Houston tonight, entering against Vancouver in the 70th minute - along with Arturo Alvarez. Two ex-RSL midfielders on to push for the win . . .
some Yura news: @BrianDunseth Yura Movsisyan was just subbed off after 40 minutes because of some sort of knee injury. Things are really not working out for him over here.— Johan Dykhoff (@JohanDykhoff34) May 17, 2018
