Looks like the losing streak in Orlando is having some bad ramifications. I've always liked Will Johnson, so I hope these allegations aren't true. Will Johnson arrested on allegations of domestic violence.
yo wtf kind of related: has anything recently been posted on the Velazco issue? He posted bail, right? Any kind of court date or anything?
Jamie Watson has graduated from watching the Stupid Cry Kids to being the sideline reporter for Minnesota United. He's good at it.
Big Dev scores a goal to help SF Delta win NASL championships 2-0. Now that's how you finish the season! @Big_dev49 taps it in as the @sfdeltas knock off the defending champs, 2-0! #TheChampionshipFinal pic.twitter.com/BfsO92pCs5— NASL (@naslofficial) November 13, 2017 What will become of the league? what about its players? Does anyone care if the Cosmos fold?
Good to see Sandoval landed somewhere after the Rayo OKC fiasco. As for your questions, 1) probably get integrated into the USL, 2) find places in the USL and/or MLS, 3) I don't care as long as we don't ever have to hear about the stupid Cosmos again.
The two biggest money losers were the two richest clubs, and most of the other owners sat back and let themselves get screwed over by their shortsightedness rather than reining them in.
Which is why they should gravitate to the USL. I'll bet Tampa Bay and Ottawa are happy they jumped ship when they did.
Burrito's team (Indpendiente) won Copa Sundamericana last night. Doesn't look like Burrito played. However, the winning goal for Indpendiente was scored by Barco - a player heavily linked to Atlanta
Independiente an Argentine team from Avellaneda (Greater Buenos Aires area). Maybe the game was in Rio, though. Idk.
Lalo's team (Tigres) also won the Apertura in Liga MX. Lalo hasn't played with them yet, other than in a friendly. https://www.si.com/soccer/2017/12/10/tigres-holds-out-2-1-win-monterrey-liga-mx-title
Found this article on what Saborio is up to why he quit Saprissa 4 games in, and return to playing in 2nd division, working/owning a farm, and cross fit. It is in Spanish but google translate is good Characters of 2017: Álvaro Saborío, the scorer who found peace in the Second Division While not a former player noticed Jeff Cassar was in attendance and twitted Utes bowl victory. Flashed a half Utes "U" and half Miami "U" in the pic. Also changed his location to Rockwall, TX https://twitter.com/jeffcassar
It's goo to see Jeff happy and cheering on the Utes. He has a lot of critics, but he was always a classy dude and I wish him the best!
I'm glad he isn't soured on all things Utah. Coaches have to know it will probably end badly the moment they're hired. It's a tough profession.
