Xtomx, I have been too. Dont be a dick. I have been a season ticket holder since day one too. I love this team, do you?
I did not imply that you were not a long time season ticket holder. That was not my intention, apologies if you misunderstood. I am glad you stuck around, I guess. If typing that makes you feel better, so be it. Who knows, you might be correct in that assessment. The problem (that I was trying to point out) is that you are asking the wrong question. The question should not be, "How are you guys going to respond if Fire will do great this year?" The question should be, "Chicago Fire, why did it take you so long be great after a decade of mediocrity/abject failure?" Those of us here who are long time fans of this team are still hanging on because we have been waiting impatiently for the Fire to restore our faith and enthusiasm in the team. The team owes it to supporters to do what is necessary to be successful. Since 2010, we have not witnessed anything to imply any sort of ambition. In a league that has demonstrated that the successful teams are the ambitious teams, the Chicago Fire have become an after thought. If the Fire win MLS Cup 2017* and the US Open Cup*, I will absolutely acknowledge the parties who contributed to the success. It will not erase the decade of failure, but it will be a major positive step forward. *not that are either are likely to occur.
this season won't tell us anything, Double or Wooden Spoon are equally meaningless at this point. remember 2012? what I need to see is commitment to sustainable success. Or even better, the announcement of the team being sold, followed by commitment to sustainable success. Drunky McDrunklestein can celebrate March wins all he wants.
no, it won't. But I believe what Paunovic and Nelson are doing. Not blind faith, I actually agree with both of them. How long did it take Crew to be resurrected? Sigi was hated in CLB. He fixed it. You guys are not rational..... never have been..... you behave like bunch of cry babies.
I believe in the majority* of the moves made over the last six months, but six months does not make me forget the last decade of terrible moves. I don't think anyone one around here is upset that this team has gotten better, they're upset that better means not losing for 2 games in a row. *Still think we got played or were incompetent on the SJ trade.
Give me a f... break. These people Nelson and Paunovic have been in charge for 2 fvking years. Thats right....2 years... Give them a break is all I'm saying.
please, share with the class what you think they're doing. this should be awesome. infinity? Remind me again - Did Nimrod and Pawno build two MLS champion squads before they were hired? What, no? Had Anthony Precourt allowed his team to languish in the 2nd division for a decade? What, no? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? What, no? You need some more coffee, jackass. You're still drunk.
