Klopp has been charged for his actions at the Merseyside Derby. www.bbc.com/sport/football/46431656 I guess the FA had to charge him at least: question now is what will come off this?
Modric is the 2018 Ballon D'Or winner. A surprise of sorts, but a very welcome one. And absolutely deserved after the year he just had.
in a good way? he had moments yea but i expected more given the buzz around him a year ago. although the commentator did say he was struggling this season
Ballon D'Or top 10: Modric (753pts), Ronaldo (476), Griezman (414), Mbappe (347), Messi (280), Salah (188), Varane (121), Hazard (119), KdB (29), Kane (25) Looking a little more in-depth at the Ballon D'Or results, there are some interesting findings. Modric winning by a pretty large margin over Ronaldo compounds even more on him winning at all in the first. Even if, as mentioned, it's entirely deserved. No Neymar in the top 10 is also a surprise of sorts, even if it's been an off year for him. Makes you wonder though if the backlash from his antics, especially in the world stage at the WC, had anything to do with it. As expected, France's win at the WC reaped major rewards for the guys who starred at the tournament, with 3 guys in the top 10 and 5 in the top 15 (Kante and Pogba finished 11th and 15th respectively.

Due to the massive (and pretty violent) protests going on right now in France, some games are set to be postponed (like PSG vs Montpellier). Those 'yellow vests ' protesters are not messing around right now. With price of gas currently clocking at over $7/gallon, it's hardly surprising. Gas has always been more expensive over there, but that is just crazy.
Bah, bunch of ********ing whiners. In my part of Canada, gas has been 6.5 to 7 a gallon for a couple of years now, especially from May to September. You dont see us tearing down National Monuments in protest. Just get on with it and adjust your life.
The tax on gas that is upcoming just appears to the tipping point in regards to the current economical situation for many. They're not happy with gas being even more expensive, but it's really nothing new to them. Plus public transportation is actually a viable option for many (be it in big cities or in more rural areas). Many people are not happy simply because they're already financially strapped as it is and another tax, of any kind is the last thing they want to deal with, or even tolerate as it appears to be the case.
Starting to sound like UEFA have some pretty damning evidence with regards to City and how they used shell companies to move money to get around FFP. Time to see if they actually have the stones to levy out an actual punishment rather than another slap on the wrist. Loss of CL football for next season is being tossed around but I cant see them actually going through with that.
Griezmann disappointed not to win the Ballon D'Or. www.beinsports.com/us/laliga/video/griezmann-what-else-do-i-have-to-do-to-win-ba/1049591
The more he opens his mouth the less I like him. If he thinks winning the Europa league and being in a stacked France team that won the WC is better than winning the CL and carrying a middling Croatia team to the WC final then I don't know what to tell the guy. He's delusional. And if Luka didn't win, CR7 was still clearly better.

Gas is about $2/gal where I live in the south USA. Thank God, too, because we have no public infrastructure and to do anything it's about a 30mile round trip. I really hate America and Americans for the lack of long term planning when building our society. Whew this country falls from financial super power, it'll take 30 years and most cities/suburbs will be ruinous ghettos. There's just no quality at all in the routine building or maintenance of structures here. Everything is about $/ft^2 and how cheap can you build/maintain it.
