If they plan on playing him and he has true opportunities to prove himself, then good for him. Rakitic is not getting any younger and I think Rabiot is the perfect guy to replace him and play alongside Busquets and Coutinho in Barca's midfield.
Those are all reasons why I have mentioned it could be an odd choice for him to go to Barca. He already bitched at PSG about having to share playing time there. Hard to see how it would get better at Barca. Vidal is another guy who would be in his way: everywhere he looks there is massive competition lurking.
Zack Steffen USMNT 2018 Player of the Year interview. www.espn.com/soccer/club/united-states/660/blog/post/3730913/usmnt-player-of-the-year-zack-steffen-reflects-on-superb-2018-is-ready-for-man-city Still disappointed he's ending up at City, mainly because his opportunities will be few and far in between. Hope he gets sent on loan sooner rather than later.
Don't have the exact numbers at my disposal, but Son after a slow start to the season, has been on fire as of late. Banged another one in to put Tottenham in the lead.
Really like the guy as well. It still baffles me to this day that Poch seriously considered sending him out on loan in the summer of 2017. A failed move for whoever is what kept him at the club. The rest is history: the margins in life are that thin sometimes. Funny how that works... Alli has put Spurs firmly in control now. 2-0.
Is he the best South Korean player ever? I think so. He has more quality than Park Ji Sung. Park did win more.
Park was a fantastic role player for United. Skillful in his own right, and a big game player. Absolute legend. I think the game comes more natural to Son though. Mind you, I never saw Park play during his time at PSV.
Park is still clearly ahead when it comes to team accolades and achievements (won plenty of trophies with both PSV and United), but both players at the very least are tied individually. And I think an argument can be made that Son is slightly better and still very much improving at still just 26yrs old. According to Fabrizio Romano, WH are looking to bring in Gabigol to the club. Inter are done with him and want to sell, but they'd be open to a loan with an option to buy. He's currently on loan at Santos but it will be over in January.
Yes Park has won more but Son is better footballer and effective on RW/LW or false 9. LVG should have snapped him up or Mane but 20-30million seemed too expensive for either of them at that time to LVG and Ed who was too concern with "Marquee Signing". 21 G + 10 A in 16/17 (14+9 in L) 18 G + 11 A in 17/18 (12 + 6 in L) 6 G + 4 A in current season 21 apps The goals and assist Son is achieving are what i would expect from Martial if we had a attacking manager but hopefully all will change now.
Such an Arsenal thing to do: they sign Ozil to the largest contract currently at the club. And it appears now that they're ready to jettison him. Despite being in favor of it at the time (mainly because Mourinho seemed to favor a 4-2-3-1 setup), really relieved it did not come to pass. He looks a shadow of the player he used to be.
Sanchez was clearly much better and consistent than Ozil under Wenger. Ozil's form has been very much up and down since joining Arsenal (notoriously disappearing in big games).
Think he will be one of those players that move to a smaller club and prosper in the later stages of his career. Which is just about...now, or whenever Arsenal decide to move him on.
At first I was thinking Germany, but I'm not too sure how he feels about his countrymen at this point in his career. Turkey could be a possibility. Of course, I'm just speculating. Personally, I'd love to see him move to New York or LA.
There's the matter of his £300+/wk salary that will severely restrict where he will go, unless he works something out with Arsenal first. Most teams will not be afford him. China would be a solution, provided he wants to go there.
So much for Salah being a one season wonder. He looks to have found his rhythm, scoring his 11th league goal of the season. Smart run and assist from Fabinho to set him up.
Barring some type of miracle from Wolves, looks like Pool will be too of the table for Xmas.... Van Dijk makes it 2-0, with a little over 20mins left. Can't complain too much I suppose since we already got our Xmas present.
Fabinho joining party will only strengthen Liverpool grip on 1st position however i still believe citeh will be the winners.. Cant fathom Liverpool winning title so i would rather wish citeh lifting it ..
