what a shame that twice, Werner faces Bayern and twice his team go down with a red card. Between his condition from before and than returning to 2 straights red cards.
wasn't talking about VAR though. Talking about Werner trying to do something in 2 straight games in a row where his team are 10 men.
like I said because of the red card. They are going more defensive formation. Basically got sacrificed because of the red while doing nothing in the game. Although Poulsen should have been the one subbed off not Werner.
pretty much confirmed that he changed Werner as he gave up on this losing game and wanted to rest Werner for the CL against Porto. It's why he was subbed and not Poulsen. I'm also out, no fun watching a match that's 11 vs 10 for almost 75 minutes and RB are just going to defend.
Werner off the bench with his 1st CL Goal to tie the game 1-1. What a goal! https://streamable.com/tidj9 and that's why you don't put Werner on the bench.
it's a shame how little Werner has seen CL play because of his recent health problems, 1st game-RB seemed too nervous playing Europe 1st time 2nd game-barely lasted 30 minutes before being taken off, his problems started way before then 3rd game-sub in the last 14 minutes and just recently came back from his problems 4th game-bench, comes on the 2nd half to replace to meh Bruma and impacts the game in no time to score
seems like Werner assisted Poulsen's tying goal and he has now also scored his 6th of the season!!! as they go from 1-0 down to leading 2-1. once again RB, No Werner, no party!!!
Leipzig's camping is fully reliant on Werner's production right now. The support players from last season like Forsberg have basically done nothing. While Sabitzer and Poulsen are background players who look average. Keita seems to be getting red cards every other game. Too bad they didn't add in someone like Pascal Gross during the summer.
even last season, Werner bailed out RB a ton of games. It was his goals and assists that helped RB get to 2nd place too. This season even with his health issues he's still too important for this team and like said above as the other players aren't doing as much as last season. And lol about Keita. also I believe it was his 40th league goal. 10 more and he'll hit 50, which is doable this season.
Can't comment on the accuracy of this report but Werner is mentioned as a Barcelona transfer target, possible long-term Suarez replacement. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/transfer...e-timo-werner-dayot-upamecano-from-rb-leipzig
here are highlights of the match https://www.foxsports.com/soccer/video/1088605251871 Werner is very unlucky that he didn't get a 2nd goal in this game with his strike deflecting off a player which hit the crossbar instead of going in. still difference maker in this game was him.
Best German strumer. But in the game against England Low will pick Wagner cuz he scored in past two games.
You think so? I’ve got the impression that Löw’s more fond of Werner’s game. Germany’s way more flexible with Werner as stürm instead of Wagner
I always thought the way Werner runs and plays reminds me of the great Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. This goal is very Rummenigge like.
