Well in that case he's a limited player and won't make it at the highest level.

RB Leipzig trash Mainz 8-0, another Werner destruction as he picks up another 3 goals (hat trick) and 3 assists to take his season tally to
13 goals and 6 assists in 15 games in all competition.

feel bad for the Mainz coach, limited squad and a lot of mediocre players, that backline is just dreadful.

whether people like him or not doesn't change the fact that he's broken numerous 1BL records and club records since his pro debut at 17. Now 1st player in almost 20 years.....

Werner is 11 goals away from breaking the 100 pro goal mark, which he should do this season at this rate. Although he likely needs next season to hit 100 1BL goals, getting very close to that too.

Werner at RB Leipzig in all competiton.
74 goals and 33 assists in 129 games.

he's RB Leipzig's all time top scorer in top flight football but to be the all time top scorer ever at the club, goals while the club was in lower division counts. It's why he's only in 2nd place 14 behind Frahn who scored all 88 goals for the club in 3rd Liga-RL with 4 when they were in 2BL and that's as far as he went.

No doubt werner will make a top player as long as the team plays to his strengths, forvthe national team where loew is trying to implement the game on the opposition then I think werner comes stuck

I agree that his issue is that NT playing style doesn't mesh as much as one would want but I do think even NT he's important, anyway you look at it. If we start Gnabry, Reus, Sane (whatever positions) we still need someone with elite speed and movement to kill off opponents in 2nd half vs tired legs. I think for tourney you need good options in XI AND as Subs, WC 14 we had the super sub Schurrle, no Schurrle no WC and thats the reality about what happened.

which is still a problem for a country that has had problems dev CFs we still need to find a CF who can be the starter for the NT. We'll see if Waldschmidt can do it or not (so far seem headed towards doubtful).

Gut feeling unless some of the promising players get fast tracked soon, seems likely Euro 2024 is the min for that. We are only 2 years and a half from the 2022 WC, not a huge amount of time.

Timo is a scoring machine and will only get better. The NT has so much scoring power that offensive players coming off the bench are as good as the starters. If we can sort out our defense, the next few years should be exciting.

Werner scores his 14th goal of the season to make it 1-0 vs Hoff.
    https://streamja.com/n4vM

Werner scores his 15th goal to make it 2-0.
    https://streamja.com/n4Kd

    takes his tally to
15 goals and 5 assists in 14 games in 1BL
19 goals and 9 assists in 21 games in all competition.

only 4 goals away from scoring his 100th competitive pro goal.

    Also 1BL scoring table
    Lewa 16 goals
    Werner 15 goals

Does he have it in him to win the 1BL top scorer canon?

Do you work on your speed in training?

Werner: "I don't really want to say. I don't - you're either quick or you're not. It's innate, so you've got to accept it. Of course, you can always get a bit better, and of course, it does depend on the day and how you feel - whether you feel fitter or when you're legs don't feel so bad then you naturally run a bit quicker, because your legs feel lighter. All in all, though, you can't train for it."

pretty much why he can play any position upfront, due to his speed and that it overall works out for him. Werner has Elite Speed.

Seems linked with Chelsea,Liverpool, Man U and Atletico Madrid among others.

    Interesting report from mid-Nov 2019.
But despite Liverpool’s stunning start to the new season, Klopp is refusing to rest on his laurels and wants to add to his squad in the new year to maintain their impressive title push.

And according to Bleacher Report, Werner would have to agree to initially being a back-up to Liverpool’s famed front three, something that reports claim he is happy to do.

Roberto Firmino occupies Werner’s preferred central role and has proven to be a pivotal part of their attacking arsenal, while Mo Salah and Sadio Mane continue to flourish in the wider positions.

A switch to Old Trafford may prove more fruitful, but it is thought that Werner would prefer to play under fellow countryman Klopp and is more of a fan of Liverpool’s style of play over United’s.

if he does leave, I would prefer he plays for a German coach and Liverpool might be best suited for him.. Man U coaching situation seems iffy, not sure about La Liga and Chelsea, lol.
