So, the Carling Cup is upon us. We've started like crap as we always do. A bet on Sheffield United to win this is always worth a punt. At least to make losing a little more acceptable on a personal level. ;)

We're gonna lose this 2-1 or win this 4-0.

I like to hedge my bets. :D

    I got nothin'.

Just hope we win... might make it more bearable to have a good cup run... doesn't that bring in funds the further you progress? we need funds... :(

After falling behind, Everton scored three times in the first half, lead 3-1, just around the 70th.

    Seems like a winnable match.

Of course, my recollection is that for the past 10 years we've usually been knocked out in the early stages of the League Cup by teams supposedly weaker than us.

Hopefully we can change things this season as I think winning the League Cup is by far the most feasible way of earning a spot in Europe.
