Hey, my reverse-jinx psychology last time seems to have worked! I’m still the hot hand. Much to some of your chagrins? :D And putting this thread up extra quickly, because I’m going to be traveling the next 3 days, and may not even be able to watch this one live. L

So 1 week ago at Watford we had our manhood questioned, and for good reason. Then 3 days ago we sent a mixed side (lots of youth & scrubs) into a Belgrade wall of sound. We started bright and with lots of desire & urgency, then let the other team come back into the match, only to score a somewhat miraculous winner in the 86th minute.

So what will we get this weekend? Your guess is as good as mine. But I hope Troy Deeney's cajones quote is plastered up in our locker room, and that it has the desired response.

And one thing in our favor perhaps is that Everton are still fairly dysfunctional. They lost at home tonight to Lyon. They haven’t had a win in 4 matches. Koeman is on the ropes supposedly.

Actually as I went to search for the image at top, I found that I already had it on my computer! So then I dug more and found out that I started the thread for this same fixture 10 months ago. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/everton-vs-arsenal-epl-13-dec-2016.2037505/

On that day we went up 1-0 and ultimately lost 1-2 to an 86th minute Ashley Williams header. So I can now say with some confidence that we’ll probably do the same Sunday, and I’ll be relinquishing my duties pronto.

With so many injuries I have to wonder if Jack gets a start after his performances but suspect boss will hold him back for midweek cup game. I think we have a tough game on hand but a winnable game.

    Up the Arse!

Going up 1-0, conceding a BS equalizer, and then falling apart and conceding a late winner is the Arsenal Way.

Probably won't watch. I'll catch the "highlights" later. A win means little. A loss not out of the realm of very possible.

Team news: Sanchez, Ramsey, and Koscielny are all back.

They're sayin Kos just had cramps not achilles. That could be very good news for our upcoming games.

It'll be interesting to see if Ozil can force his way back into the XI.

Ozil is gone in jan. Sanchez I have a feeling won’t leave till the summer for free

I Want to see wilshere get some minutes as per of the middle 2 rather than elneney as he has shown to be a good option at the free role behind the forward

He’s probably gone in jan though

That was a foul on Sanchez in the box. But because it was the keeper committing it, he got off scott free. :(

We are dominating the shit out of Everton. Just need to bury some of these chances.

Laca had the entire net to aim at and shot directly into the keeper. That's poor.

Xhaka made more of an effort to reach for the ball as he fell than to chase it down when he was being challenged.

Xhaka doing his best to give this game to them?

Edit: Not sure why we keep starting him, except maybe because we spent so much cash on him.

Arsene is convinced that Xhaka was fouled, not that he gave it away cheaply. He's wrong, of course.
