seriously, what the ******** is that thing? The old one was so cool in that it straight up was a Fire Department setup. This thing? ********ing awful.
If this was the original logo, I think I'd be ok with it. Not the best, not the worst. Compared to their old logo? This one is bad.
The irony being that Fire fans, at least on this site and others like it, have said some of the nastiest anti-mormon things
Orlando City lands Oscar Pareja as Manager. Damn. Mexican international Alan Pulido is set to sign with SJE.
So SKC sets the bar pretty high for "small market" teams: joint top scorer in LigaMX Alan Pulido acquired from Chivas USA for a $9.5 million transfer fee. Here's the details.
For what it’s worth, many of the Chivas observers feel he’s a bit long in the tooth. That said, he had a great year and in MLS a 9 who can break down defenses with touch and anticipation is going to be effective even if a step slow.
you literally described Zlatan, so yeah. Granted, he is his own thing. But the CB's in this league aren't top level enough to shut down intelligent 9's. Great point
Charlotte is the new franchise. Will begin play in 2021. That ATL-Nashville-Charlotte rivalry has the potential to be great. Lucas Zalaryan transferring from Tigres to Columbus Crew. $8 Million transfer fee. Lucas Cavallini to Vancouver Whitecaps. $5 Million transfer fee.
Charlotte??!?! What happened to Phoenix (or for you non-Phrankophiles, Fenix). Here's a cool animation from the MLS-Propaganda site that shows MLS expansion since 1996. What struck me was the lack of teams in the fly-over country of the Mountain Time zone. If we ever want to rename the Wasatch Mountain Cup, we could call it the Mountain Time Zone Cup.
NYCFC possible new stadium??? https://theoutfield.org/2019/12/20/a-first-look-at-nycfcs-bronx-stadium-plan/
Oh you mean the stadium that NYCFC was supposed to have a plan in place before they were accepted to join MLS. Is that the stadium you are talking about? Maybe we should give a big round of applause to NYCFC. I has only taken them four years to get to the point where it looks like they might have a site to build a stadium whereas by the time that RSL finished it's fourth season in MLS, they had their own stadium.
well you speak the truth...but I will say that the land in the Bronx costs a bit more than it does in Salt Lake...just sayin'
This might be true (whaddaya mean, might be true, it is true), but other cities were told that before they could get a MLS franchise, they had to have a viable stadium plan in place. No stadium plan, no franchise. But, it seems that The Don had such a hard-on for a second NY franchise that all he forgot all about the stadium plan and said "meh, they'll build a stadium some day, I guess". Yet another example that in the MLS, all teams are equal, but some teams are more equal that others.
Charlotte’s owners paid $325 Million to MLS to become a franchise! The Zalaryan deal to the Crew is official.
Maybe Pareja can actually land him https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...man-cano-working-through-final-stages-signing
Here I go, quoting myself again. Anyway, it looks like the Zlatan-to-AC Milan rumors are true. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-zlatan-ibrahimovic-has-decided-to-join-ac-milan-154739444.html @15 to 32, any thoughts?
It won't hurt things at all. Milan is in a bad funk this year, having just lost 5-0 to freaking Atalanta. One week they look like they might be coming back into form, the next they look like they're relegation contenders (reminds me of Man United, honestly). Piatek has struggled to keep his form from last year (thats a really high bar) and Leao still needs to be groomed. So the 9 spot is open for the taking. It's not the biggest concern I have for the squad (our midfield is pretty bad) but it's not a strong spot on the field by any stretch of the imagination. With how strong of a season Inter are having, it's a good move to take away some of their recognition and hopefully spark a run of form.
