I wonder how they are distributing that money, 1% of the 66.6% retained fee FCD got for Castillo is ~$18,650, I can't find any firm number of the total season ticket holders they have. I wonder if they'll divide that money up based on the price per season ticket or just divide it up among the season ticket holders. It'll probably be the former as a reward for spending more on season tickets, but that gets kind of complicated.
The comment section makes comments about how it's roughly $5-10 per ticket. It's nothing substantial but it's a nice gesture. Most fans have already said it will go to buying a beer or apparel - so back into the club.
The comment section didn't even read the press release, FCD gets 66.6% of the transfer fee, they are making their calculations based on FCD getting 100% of the transfer fee and 1% of that being $28k, which keeps getting referenced there. $5 a season ticket would mean there are 5600 season tickets sold using their $28k number....yikes.
Still a nice gesture. The one nice thing RSL did was give those vouchers for showing up early. It was nice to show up like I normally do and be able to buy a snack on the cheap. It's just kind of sad that as the years have gone on, all these extra little things have all but dried up. Now it seems like the only thing we really have is the Chik-Fil-A one, but it's on a really low chance per game since it requires scoring off of a free kick.
This is true. The 15% is still nice, and better than the weird coupon setup at least. The funny thing is that in most years that would've been a fine promotion that didn't see many games like that. It was nice that we were on fire for the most part and had a lot of games where we got those. I also enjoyed that a lot of the time, they just handed out however many at a time. I think my best game I got something like 7 from one of those people. It was also when I was working days, so it was nice to get a free sandwich, buy some hashbrowns and have a cheap breakfast on the way to work.
I bought so much more gear at 25% off than I have at 15%. It's like anyone can get 15% off but 25% now that's a deal. Doesn't feel like much of a perk anymore.
I can agree with that as well but at 25% off I'm much more likely to get something that might not be exactly what I want but worth a shot. 15% not so much. Regardless of how great the gear is or isn't at the lower discount I'm not tempted.
I'll probably grab a hat this year if there's one I like since I need a new one. I'm also tempted to buy the home kit since it's also been awhile. It's a shame that the designs aren't better, because I'd be on the hook every year for one between home/away. White kits don't wow me, so I've never bought one, and lately the home kids are slowly going the same route. It's a shame because I really want to buy some quality kits!
Mix appears to be heading to Sweden. http://www.hudsonriverblue.com/2017/3/6/14825016/mix-diskerud-loan-goteborg-nycfc
Good for him. Now when he's "pining for the fjords of Norway", he'll just be a hop, skip and a jump away.
Cassar being fired early, then having Petke right the ship so we can win MLS Cup! That's my hope at least.
If we don't beat LA than DLH should fire Cassar immediately after the game. Anything less than 3 points at home against that shit team is marching orders, IMO.
