Wow! He is really fast. Got sacked early on but he's OK and just as fast. BTW, why is the Frenchman playing in mexico?
apparently he turned down $ offers from the PL to go to Mexico and it rejuvenated his career. Got him a spot with the French side for Euro 2016. I believe he's among the top earners in the league. Like 1.5 -2 million a year.
Does LigaMX have some sorts of MLS Live equivalent? Anybody know about broadcasting deals with Europe? I'd like to watch the Xolos with Paul & Co from time to time.
http://www.livesoccertv.com/competitions/mexico/primera-division/ You can scroll the above list to see your options and where they were on last season. Looks like Azteca America might be your best bet if you specifically want to watch Xolos, but nothing is that consistent and doesn't appear they have an equivalent to MLS Live. Don't know if you can order Azteca America separately. For that you may be looking at Fubo TV.
Profile based on his time so far at the Gold Cup: http://beta.goal.com/en-us/news/usa...-critic-at-gold-cup/q22mu9vklc35185836pqk3wfu Arriola understands fans' frustration with the attacker who pulls off every play until the one that matters — and he wields that self-awareness as an asset. "I'm not going to lie — it's got to be a lot more effective in the final third from me," Arriola said. "It's great that I beat players and I have the speed to take guys on, and I have to finish the product. Today I had a couple balls to Jozy, a couple combination plays that if they had been taken care of it would have been a goal, and the same with my finishes.
Some overseas interest: http://beta.goal.com/en-us/news/pau...ch-portuguese-and-/12lp2g2vwh4nl1jo2qukmu8c52 Sources tell Goal that teams in the Netherlands and Portugal, as well as a half dozen teams in MLS — including Real Salt Lake — have expressed strong interested in signing Arriola from Liga MX side Club Tijuana. Xolos are believed to be open to a transfer for Arriola, who is coming off a career year at Club Tijuana, but his MLS prospects are complicated by the fact the LA Galaxy hold his rights.
I don't want him to come to MLS. A pacy winger with no technical final third ability can do well in MLS - see Finlay, Ethan - but they're not going to develop into an international-quality player. Go east, young man. Or stay in Tijuana, either/or.
Well, wherever he ends up, I hope he gets lots of playing time, regardless if it's in LigaMX, MLS or Europe. I like his relentlessness, his runs and the guy has a knack for showing up in the right places in attack. Final pass and finishing need some improvement, but the decision making and game reading is already there.
I liked his game when he was playing with the U-20's, and the bar for being talented was much lower. At the senior level, he's somewhere within that Bedoya, Zardes, Rowe realm of player. Probably the upper end of that type of player, but I don't think he's a player want getting 100 caps. If he can stay as a fringe NT player for the rest of his career, we've successfully integrated more talented players at his position.
I really think a Holland or Portugal move would benefit him. Arriola seems to be at that level and as we've found the Mexican League really isn't good for developing players into our system. There hasn't been a good player to play for the US National team coming from the Mexican League. Arriola has promise to be that player and I don't think it happens without him getting out of there.

That was a fun goal. Running header from distance looped over the keeper. He's scrappy on headers for a lil' man, even outside MX. They want to play joga bonito, starting with their keepers. If every one of them could be some version of Jorge Campos for them, that'd be the dream. But even without a short stuff in net I don't think that shot is stopped. He had to go all away across goal and didn't come close to getting a hand on it.
