He is available for only half our matches and he is on the later half of 20.

We need to move on from a Welbeck.

The view from the corner of the North Bank. Sporting pretty much had no intent to go past half for 90 percent of the match. That was some of the most negative footy I've seen in person in....probably forever. Lichtsteiner is washed. I love his spirit but other than training other defenders in the ways of the dark arts, at this point, I think he has little other purpose. Ramsey was very disciplined, but in the end that probably hurt us going forward.

The best summary for this match is that despite being there and despite being (fairly) sober, I can recall little of the match other than Welbeck's unlucky injury. It was that uneventful.

Yeah it was a real stinker. Sorry that that was your match to watch in person. Might you get another chance this season?

Edit: I see in your later post that you got to go to the Wolves match also. Also not our greatest play this year, but perhaps a slight upgrade on the Sporting affair.

Now I see yoss was there for both of these fixtures...

Seems like he may be real bad luck. :D

Hey now! My Arsenal in person viewing record is:
    Highbury - 2 Wins; 1 Draw*
    Emirates - 2 Wins; 5 Draws
    Not stellar but not horrible.
    :whistling:

    * 2006 CL match when we knocked Real Madrid out of the tourney. Most exciting end to end nil-nil draw ever. I felt like I had run a race after that match ended.

Eh, obviously out of one's control. Go for the experience and take it all in good or bad. And yeah, there's a chance I might be taking my son to his first match a little later this season.

The Real Madrid match counts as a win.

I for one don't hold anything against you. ;) Of course, that record of the Grove vs Highbury speaks more about Arsenal's overall form in the last 10-15 years than anything else.

So much that I bought the match on DVD a couple years ago just to relive it fully

I should try to find and rewatch that match.

I was lucky enough to attend the following UCL match at Highbury... the one where we beat Villareal in Semi Leg1. That was a pretty magical night for me. And not just because of the squirrel or Lehman's PK save.
