German Football Association [DFB] president Wolfgang Nierbach has revealed that Berlin, Munich, Dortmund and Stuttgart will bid to become host cities for the 2020 European Championship.

UEFA plans to host the tournament in 12 stadiums across the continent, plus one host city for both semi-finals and the final.

"The last three games require a stadium capacity of 70,000," Niersbach told Sport Bild. "For all other cities and stadiums we are currently talking about a 50,000 capacity. This would mean, for the group stages, the DFB could put forward one of the four stadiums in Berlin, Munich, Dortmund and Stuttgart."

Why? Travelling from Berlin to London, Paris, Vienna, Warsaw etc isn't really more expensive or time consuming than travelling from Berlin to Stuttgart or Munich.
