On Sunday Del Bosque said that the choice on who starts in goal won't be made until Monday.

I hope DB doesn't start with him.. that is a bad idea IMO.

Spain have played five internationals on June 13 and have never won (1 draw, 4 defeats):
    1963 2-6 Scotland (friendly)
1990 0-0 Uruguay (World Cup opener, URU missed a penalty)
1998 2-3 Nigeria (World Cup opener)
    2000 0-1 Norway (Euro opener)
2014 1-5 Netherlands (World Cup opener)

I feel very "bleh" about this team. I hope they prove me wrong and play an exciting type of game. Right now the team is just meh. Then again, that's how I feel about this tournament this summer. The first few games haven't helped that, that's for sure.

I feel the same. Perhaps the expansion to 24 teams is the reason (?) I never was in favor of the expansion.
2020, with no host country... not sure what to make of that.

Expected line-up for Monday's game against the Czechs. I feel kinda meh about the line-up too. IMO, VDB should have brought Torres along as the starting #9 with Morata as his back-up. Such a pity that Dani is out of the squad injured or it would have been great to see him at RB as well. Also, I'd feel better if we had the energy of Koke and/or Thiago in midfield instead of Iniesta and/or Cesc... but maybe the latter two will pull something good out for the game.

    So it begins!

I have high hopes for Nolito... maybe he could be our next Villa.

Morata had the first goal and Peter Cech got his hand on the ball! 28th minute 0-0.

It would be nice to go into the locker room with a 1 or 2 goal lead!

Spain looking for that first goal and have stepped up their game, Iniesta controlling the ball and the team working the ball closer into the area. 40th minute 0-0.

Pretty disappointing stuff IMO. Maybe 1 real chance for Morata.. that was about it.

I would expect VDB to make a few minor tactical changes during the half but keep the same XI on the pitch. Need to keep the pressure on the wings or use Iniesta to move the ball in the middle.

46th minute and the right post saves a goal. Iniesta is on fire! 0-0

My God how many lost opportunities for the Furia Roja. Obviously the Czechs are happy with one point out of this match!

73% possession for La Furia Roja in the first half!
