Hummels massive loss. His partnership with Boateng is unbelievable, even better than Ferdinand-Vidic back in the day. It looks like Griezmann vs Höwedes. Not good. Giroud has a very good track record against Neuer and Boateng over the years. Can't really compare it with 2014, this France team is way better than Brazil.
Not to mention that Hummels is out and both Khedira and Bastian have injuries. Khedira is doubtful at this point.

Basically they have 5 quality players at a time in starting XI...Griezman, Payet, Giroud, Pogba and Matuidi...their attacking triplet of Giroud, Griezmann, Payet is carrying them...having same formation like Italy will not allow their attackers to combine...from his La Liga experience Mustafi can handle Griezmann well...Boateng can play his trademark long balls from the back and we can be devastating is set prices...their defense is a joke and defense wins you titles...if none of Basti/Khedira can play then start Kroos and Can...we need Can's mobility and physical presence in midfield...Kimmich can occasionally move central from RB position to form a 3 man midfield with Kroos and Can... We have far more balanced team and an experienced coach to handle this situation...a good tactical approach should win this for us... As they are not a bus parking team unlike our previous all opponents, Gomez is not a must have player for this match and we can play better possession based game....
it's always funny when you read articles and comments about how our attack is weaker then it used to be when as said in the post above every opponent we faced, 5/5 teams they all parked the bus. And all of 5 of France's games have been played with attacking football and they have conceded 4 goals and all against minnows, pretty leaky defense.

eh, why replace Draxler with a center defender? We shouldn't be playing with more than 5 defense minded players at the max.
I think their trashing of Iceland will give them confidence to try to attack and score first like they did with Iceland where it took them 12 minutes to score. Or out of fear they could start the game playing more conservative but they played 0 games conservative at this Euro.
