Let me add a few details on the trains I'm taking Initially I thought it's going to be an intense journey but thinking back of what I did in Ukraine 4 years ago with the amount of overnight train rides (admittedly those were one of the most fun moments), especially that 23hr non-AC ride from Lviv to Donetsk, France is not bad at all. Can't wait! June 13 morning train to Lyon (07:24 TGV6814), attend Belgium - Italy June 14 one day trip to St Etienne for Portugal - Iceland (15:05 TGV EURO 2016 6684, return train not available to book atm) June 15 morning train to Marseille (09:06 TGV5103) and attend France - Albania June 16 morning train to Toulouse (08:18 Intercites 4754) June 17 visit Airbus factory, attend Italy - Sweden and train to Bordeaux after match (18:18 Intercites 4762) June 18 attend Belgium - Italy June 19 morning train to Lille (07:23 TGV5260), attend France - Switzerland
For my longer trips(Lille to Lyon, Paris to Nice, etc..) I set it at an early morning train in 1st class so I could sleep through the whole ride.
I did exactly same for all rides more than 4 hours. Now only hoping my seats are facing the direction of travel..

Heads up - we just booked six second class train tickets from Lyon to Nice for 17 Euros each - nice discount if you book a group (would have been 30 Euros). We booked on SNCF. Our train leaves 11am on Monday Jun 27 and gets in around 3ish. Plenty of time to settle in before the match at 2100.
Is anyone else planning to attend the 3 Rd of 16 games in 3 days? June 25th Paris June 26th Lille June 27th St Denis Would be interested to hear your plan of attack in terms of transport and accommodation.
I have almost the same. But I'm doing Lens-Lille-St. Denis. In Lens I have a hotel about 10 minute drive outside, guess I just get a cab after the game. Didn't find a single hotel room after the Lille game so will be taking the train after the game and arrive in Paris around 23. Got myself a hostel so I won't have to walk too far when I arrive.
I'm happy to start a whatsapp group if there isn't one already. A place where we can arrange meet-ups, last minute tickets etc and just general advice. PM me your mobile number (including country code) if you're interested.
That's my plan for Euros if England get to 1/4 then I'll be back over not going to the Germany vs Poland game just watching it around Paris somewhere, last night in Paris so going to be a good one! Hopefully celebrating a England second win!!
Fun Bus from Lyon-St Etienne-Lyon for the Slovakia England game is now down to one, possibly two, vacant seats. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!! dm me. ta.
Two games in one night - gee that's ambitious! Are you at all concerned about missing your train out of Lens? You're cutting it extremely fine.
The 2 games in one day is definitely doable. Turkey v Croatia/Germany v Ukraine on the 12th England v Wales/Poland v Germany on the 16th. An Irish friend reckons he can also make Portugal v Austria in Paris after we play Belgium in Bordeaux. This seems unrealistic to me. I considered doing the Germany v Ukraine game but while easy to do would be very tiring. I'd be getting back to Paris then very late and don't want to be falling asleep during the Rep of Ireland v Sweden game the following night. I did do 2 games in one day twice in South Africa no problem.
Sorry pal, it may be a bit unclear, but the plan is to just watch that game around Paris in the bars as it the last night! But yeah I think it could be doable!
Is anyone going to the Lyon semi from Marseille and coming back the same night? I can't seem to find any trains so looks as though I may need to rent a car? Cheers
