For me, Khedira does the same things as Kroos, just not as well as Kroos does them. I really wish Löw would use Can/Weigl/Kimmich to do all the dirty work for Kroos so that Kroos could be free to orchestrate the midfield.

Maybe we will get lucky and Löw will use Kroos in the Pirlo role and push Khedira up the pitch? Wishful thinking?

Also, Götze needs to prove himself up top. This is his chance.

 

If Götze starts then this will make him Löw's new Klose - not starting in club but good enough for NT cause no better available

Meh, there wasn't really any team that was better in the CL than Real Madrid this year though.

The best we can hope for is that Löw fine tunes his lineup so that Germany can handle any opponent instead of needing weaker opponents.

Not a bad team at all. Especially Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka can hurt Germany all on their own. All they need is one good chance, and they will get a couple against this Germany lineup/formation.
