http://www.repubblica.it/sport/calc...no_pochi_tutto_tranquillo-8030839/?ref=HREA-1 Today they showed the fax by the Serbian police...on Monday they said that 'about' 100 Serbian fans would come to Genoa... They didn't even know how many tickets were sold until Tuesday morning...which is clearly too late. Last evening the Serbian president apologized to Italy...and I'm pretty sure their ministers, from now on, will shut the ******** up.
Bravo Abete!!! Diglielo a 'sto cornuto di merda! Abete risponde a Blatter: "Farebbe meglio a pensare a chi ha diretto il Mondiale 2002"
I like this!!! but all it does is piss off Blater, I now expect to get royally screwed by the refs in 2014!
in my opinion this was a disaster on many fronts. 1. if this "spiderman" guy had a criminal record and was know as an Ultra leader why was he let out of Serbia to come to Italy by the Serb authorities? Why was he let into Italy by the Italian authorities? Why was he allowed to buy a ticket to the game? Why was he allowed to get into the stadium with a weapon and a mask? 2. if the Serb goalie was attacked on the bus on the way to the game then I feel the game should have been cancelled there and then. If Buffon was attacked in Belgrad and was unable to play in a major game wouldn't the powers that be, UEFA/FIFA/ and the FIGC intervene? That right there was a red flag that things were out of hand and the game should have been cancelled there and then. 3. why did they even start the game after a 30 minute delay when they hadn't upprehanded the "spiderman" guy who was createing most of the disturbance? Logically, you arrest the guy and then you go on with the game if the situation suits itself but you don't just start playing with the criminal still in the stands. I think the ball was dropped on many fronts, from FIFA, to UEFA to the Italian police to the Serb police and to the game organizers at the stadium. There is much fault to go around for the way this was handled. My question is still there, WHY IN THE WORLD WAS A GUY WITH A MASK AND A WEAPON ALLOWED TO GO INTO A STADIUM FULL OF PEOPLE?????? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN in todays post 9/11 world where there are "terrorrist" threats flying left and right every day? It simply boggles the mind to think of such irresponsible security to allow this to happen. Thank GOD no one got hurt, this cuold have really become a major disaster. With that said and the fact that that piece of crap Blatter is now involved I doubt we're going to get any points out of this game. They will probably play it again in an empty stadium somewhere neutral.
Blatter or FIFA has no power to what happens for a UEFA tournament. .....and as far as getting screwed for 2014 ....what else is new?
so its all up to UEFA? FIFA is not involved in this matter? Thats good news I guess... but UEFA has Platini, I guess hes the lesser of the 2 evils in this case.
Yes, this is definitely UEFA's problem, not FIFA's. But, I can assure you FIFA is monitoring this as well to see how it's handled.
Okay so we know he is lying. It's ridiculous for any Serb to blame the Italian police. We were told one figure, and then something clearly different happened. There were certainly a lot more than 100 Serbian fans. Yes, the fact that the Serbian President apologized acknowledges they were the ones liable and AT FAULT. It was a logistical nightmare. We were probably only prepared for 100 Serbian fans as that was what we were told. Dieci, even I know Platini is in a tough situation and will have to grant us the points regardless. They can't screw us over here.
sorry I'm not buying this. in the video when the rioters were between the buses I was able to recognize one of the hooligans causing trouble in the stadium. He was wearing a winter coat with a hood on. I seriously doubt normal people not rioting were hit by police. this is bullshit.
Serbia will get far more punishment than Italy, however Italy will get its share of the blame... As far as the game is concerned, I am not 100% sure we will be awarded the 3 points as the the followwing scenarios might happen: 1. Game will be replayed at an empty stadium (very possible) 2. Italy will be awarded a 3-0 victory (most likely) 3. Serbia will be kicked out of the tournament, and all its previous games voided (unlikely) as this not fair to Estonia!!! If scenarios 1 or 2 are employed then the remainder of Serbias games at home will be played in a neutral country at an empty stadium. and their away games without Serbian fans... Now what is Italy gonna be hit with is the big question??? I still beleive that the riot police handled this properly, had they attempted to catch the ringleader this could have erupted into a full scale riot even worse than Heisel.
What a pile of rubbish. I saw what I saw on the video. This is just people making stuff up to cover their country's own reputation. At this point, I hope Serbia is banned from this tournament. The Italian police were not incompetent, and we were lied to by the Serbian authorities about how many fans would come! It's no accident your President APOLOGIZED TO US! The Hooligans most certainly did have their asses kicked. As far as us getting 3 points, I can say pretty confidently we will, and numerous Italian sources have stated we will. We may get a fine, but after the revelations that we were told only 100 Serbian fans were coming were a LIE, I don't think we should be punished at all. We were prepared for one thing and the opposite happened because the Serbian government lied. So they are the ones who should receive the punishment.
The mask? Are you serious? You really want to be searched so extensively entering a sporting venue that you would not be able to sneak a wool cap in???
It's not even that. You could sneak anything into the Stadio San Nicola. They don't even search bags anymore there. Five years ago, when they were in Serie B, the cops checked bags...hehe, I'm just pissed that we didn't get to see the team play. Was looking forward to this game. Che merda!
If Serbia gets expelled all other teams will most likely receive six points from the two matches against them, all in a 3-0 score. This would apply for past and future matches alike. I think that's how it usually works. But yes, Estonia would be the team less favored, since, theoretically, an away victory against Serbia wouldn't be a recurring result on this group.
A few complete morons shouldn't ruin it for everyone else. You're lieing to yourself if you don't agree the same type of idiots are in Italy, sometimes they show it in the stands, and I would be extremely pissed if Italy lost points or was kicked out of a tournament if some minority decided to make a statement in a similar fashion. And you're a moron if this leads you to paint all Serbians with one brush. I'd be fine with Serbia staying in and playing in empty stadiums/not allowing any traveling fans. And I'm even fine with replaying this game (I almost wanted them to completely empty the stadium quickly and just play the game with no one in there). It was terrible images/actions, but let's not overreact, it wasn't a terrorist attack or murder, it's something that's a shame but isn't insane if you're used to the culture of the sport, which very often goes deeper than sport. Hooligans got in, but let's move on, flares and breaking shit, some of our players may be mentally weak, but nothing they haven't seen often enough in our own league
I dont think Serbia should be kicked out of the competition because of a couple of idiots but like I have been saying the precedent has been set in regards to the outcome. Sweden-Denmark was the last example but before that the last time some idiots threw flares onto the field Inter Milan forfeited 3-0 to Milan and were forced to play home games in an empty stadium. This will be the most likely outcome on Oct 28th.
To kick Serbia out of the tournament would be to let these hooligans win, because that's what they are after. In my opinion letting them win is the worse possible outcome. These people need to be prosecuted and on top of that need to see that their stupidity is not going to win them any battles. The match should be forfeit (3-0), especially considering how things have been handled in the past. Then they should play behind closed doors and without away supporters from now on.
my biggest criticism of the italian police is that they didn't do what we were all thinking when watching the footage i.e. go and drag that masked ********** (and he is a **********, hiding in luggage compartment ) of the fence and smash him in, or at least arrest him but no they couldn't do that could they because if he broke a few bones upon landing human rights would have protected him!. As others have said i dont want to see serbia punished for the decent fans and for the team, we cant let a minority ruin it for millions because that really is the case or whatever serbia's population is
one more point i'd like to make, to the serbian fans who are bullshltin about the wrong people getting beat up thats the exact reason why the police didn't charge at the thugs in the stadium, because there innocent families in that section too! also there was a post by a serb a few pages back saying that in the serbian media for 4-5 days they were warning of dangers that will be at the game! and in posting this he was clearly trying to squarely put the blame on italian authorities, so i ask if that is the case, why then, please tell me why the fcuk did innocent serbs take their children to such a dangerous event considering they had been warned by the serbian media for 4-5 days? also wtf didn't they leave stadium and let the police take care of the thugs? blame can be squared at the innocent too!
Serbian authorities, especially their football federation, are full of shit. Probably in a desperate attempt to avoid harsh punishment.
Very good organisation of match??? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV1T4zI7nM8&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube - ITALIA-SERBIA, GENOVA Italijanski navija?i vodenim ?mrkovima provocirali navija?e Srbije[/ame]
It's a real shame that these moronic ultras groups, international or domestic, have the power to influence football. They have absolutely no relation to the nations or clubs they allege to support. They just use football as a guise to stir up violence, vandalize and push whatever stupid ideology they might have. In my view, this match should be re-played. The appropriate punishment is to play the match with the Serbian supporters banned.
Ya but what if thern Serbia wins? then those thugs have really influenced the game.... or maybe the game should be replayed without the serbian supporters and a scoreline of 2-0 to start the game with, now that is the fairest way. however the game will not be replayed and italy will be awarded the 3-0 win as has similar games been treated...
