Interestingly OGS will probably be appointed United manager. OGS gave Horvath his shot so to speak and Horvath repaid that faith pretty sensationally. Obviously not saying Horvath is going to replace DeGea but he could land an appointment somewhere in the PL after the next manager is appointed or DeGea could move on, etc etc. eg the situation is worth watching as Horvath seems to have shaken some early jitters and is rising. Link below does not suggest or infer anything discussed above, only that OGD was appointed. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ma.../man-utd-mourinho-solskjaer-live-15575443.amp
It's good to have a friend in high places. If Horvath can keep another year of these performances (and in the EL or CL), then he's going to a top league. And OGS can def add credibility to his name.

If "schoten op doel" means "shots on goal," then he made 1 save. FT: De statistieken van de knappe 5-1 zege tegen Antwerp! #CluAnt pic.twitter.com/NefOhk0qKS— Club Brugge KV (@ClubBrugge) December 23, 2018
He did better than the Antwerp keeper, that's for sure. Some controversy on the goal Brugge conceded whether the offside guy had participated enough for the goal to be disallowed. VAR said no.
Anyone follow the league enough to tell how his performances compare to the other top keepers in Belgium?

I read somewhere that Sinan Bolat (Antwerp FC) is believed to be the best goalie in the Jupiler League
I seem to remember Steffen not closing the season out well in Columbus. From summary of game v. DC "Frederic Brillant gave D.C. United the lead on 21 minutes after Steffen spilled an Acosta endline cross into the central defender’s path in front of goal." Don't see any point in going back over the MLS end of season but the hot gk is Horvath at the moment. Steffen, per usual, was aces in stopping pk's in shootout with DC. Hwvr, that sort of thing doesn't come up a lot and takes back seat to not spilling crosses in front of goal. I's go with whomever is sharper at the mom - the "hot hand".
Quite Amazing how 2 months can change one's perception. Good on him. If he keeps this form up; perhaps he might be in the running for Player of the Year?
I wasn't a fan of his, even now I think he looks scared too often. But he's been good, and now I'm sold. After all, Keylor Navas won three Champions looking perpetually scared.
