I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I missed that. On top of how bad she was/is, it's disturbing that ESPN would see fit to trotting her back out there so soon. They clearly need to recruit some good women talking heads.
What is Espn going to do in 2020? Since the tournament is pan eropean. I think most, if not all the matches, will be called off monitor. Except for the final and semi finals, since they are both held at the same venue. If Espn goes on site with their set, it will probably be in England since the final will be held there.

The International Champions Cup game (Man City-Man U) set for today in Beijing has been cancelled due to torrential rains leading to an unplayable pitch.
Cancelled. Man United are already on their way home (they play Galatasaray in Sweden on Saturday) while Man City stay in China and face Dortmund on Thursday. SA www.soccertvblog.com
Sports TV changed 31 years ago as ESPN adds on-screen score updates of other games. Revolutionary at the time pic.twitter.com/RKIojGLuvT— Mike Soltys (@MichaelJSoltys) July 26, 2016
It was great but now it sucks. Having score updates constantly scrolling on the bottom of most of their sports now is just plain annoying.

So true....sports/news tickers are now obsolete, except for big breaking news, seeing as virtually everyone has access to a computer or smartphone.
meh, I disagree. I think the twice-hourly update would still be nice. Or something similar like what we saw during the Euros where the scroll was only during pre-/post-game and halftime (I think). It's still more efficient than searching on your smartphone. Plus your eyes never have to leave the show you're watching. Soon as people go to their smartphone they have a tendency to block-out everything and everyone around them, so doing that is a good way to miss a key piece of action from a game.

I regularly watch ESPNFC. One thing that's annoying is the delay when they patch in someone from some remote location like London... the interview and dialogue invariably become disjointed and awkward. So tonite's show, where Gab Marcotti is in LA, and the studio is in either LA or Bristol, there was still that 2-3 second delay. I found that a bit surprising since the studio and the remote interviewee is relatively close in geography. But then I started to wonder if everything goes by satellite regardless of where everyone is... is that the main factor? Or is it more a function of the video processing equipment they use in Bristol? Other TV companies that do these type of live remote feeds seem to get much less delay.
I'm pretty sure they were in LA tonight. I guess feed must be ran through Bristol and the problem is there.
