The Argentinian play-by-play announcer for the 1986 FIFA World Cup was basically the Argentinian Ray Hudson ("Good God! Long live football! Cosmic Kite, what planet do you come from?"). -G

The next new installment in the 30 for 30: Soccer Stories series (White, Blue and White) debuts on Tuesday, July 1st at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on ESPN and ESPN-HD. -G
I really liked the story about Barbosa. 30 minutes was just right too. The Rimet Trophy short was a complete waste of my time.
Felt so bad for Barbosa...the interview when he's old and all those people in front of him listening...wow.
From the producers of the 30 for 30 series: "New ESPN Series “Inside: U.S. Soccer’s March to Brazil” Premieres May 13" (Tuesday, 5/6/14) -G
While this apparently first aired on Tuesday, for some reason my HD-DVR only first caught it today. -G
The next new installment in the series (Slaying the Badger) debuts on Tuesday, July 22nd at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on ESPN and ESPN-HD. -G
Very worthwhile watch. Is LeMond paranoid? Crazy? Spot on? Is the world out to get him? Not sure anyone told the truth.

The next new installment in the series (Brian and The Boz) debuts on Tuesday, October 28th at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on ESPN and ESPN-HD. -G
I recorded it but have yet to watch it (hopefully today). Did "The Boz" basically end (image-wise, if not games-played wise) when Bo Jackson ran him over on the field in 1987? -G
The next new installment in the series (Brothers in Exile) debuts on Tuesday, November 4th at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on ESPN and ESPN-HD. -G
I think he kept "The Boz" handy because he needed it to get into movies after his (short) NFL career. A quick wiki-check says he's worth $3.5 million, and he's been married to the same woman for 21 years. I think that a lot of guys who wash out of the NFL that much earlier than predicted, regardless of what they were paid in salary and bonuses, aren't doing that well. So credit to Mr. Bosworth there. But yeah: he didn't quite get the angle on Bo that he wanted, did he?
The angle was fine, what he was way too high on Bo. If he tackles him lower, he probably makes the play. This was a very good episode and you saw a man who has lived a life of regret for getting caught up in his own persona as 20-year old kid. His emotions in going through the storage facility with his clearly impressionable teenage kid seem genuine. Also his perceived failure of never getting his fathers approval seemed to fuel his anti-conventional behavior. I wouldn't go as far as to say his father was Todd Marinovich's father, but he didn't seem far off. Kudos to Boz for finally seeing the light and accepting his jack-ass behavior as a kid and young professional. He seems hellbent on treating his kids in the opposite manner he was raised.
The next new installment in the series (Rand University) debuts on Tuesday, November 11th at 9pm ET / 6pm PT on ESPN and ESPN-HD. -G
There's a few other things but not much. It's not really a town. It's down the road a few miles from Charleston, the capital, so people don't really differentiate that much. I didn't grow up in the valley there. That entire valley is disgusting and ruined by coal and chemical plants. I was able to see Moss a few times in high school. He was a freak in all sports. In track, he finished the 200 m sprint by running backwards and looking at his competitors. In football though, Bobbie Howard was who we all feared. He went on to play middle linebacker for Notre Dame and then the Bears. He was a beast. Randy also played with Jason Williams, the point guard for the Kings/Grizzlies/Magic. Jason was the QB on the high school team. Those guys were unstoppable.
