Koeman said in a tv interview a few days ago he's not leaving the KNVB. When asked "even when Barcelona comes", his answer was affirmative. So Koeman can be ruled out for the job.
Arthur Melo: "Differences in my game with Brazil compared to Barcelona? The main thing is that I participate in the construction of the game later at Barça. With Brazil I have more freedom to go back and build the play. I think that is the biggest difference." [via md] Pitiful. I’m still shocked that Valverde wasn’t sacked
I agree Valverde should be sacked, but the amount of freedom players have isn't a thing where a lot is good, a little is bad. Pep, for example, had pretty tight rules where to be and go before the attacking third.
Do you believe him though? I have a hard tike believing he will turn down Barcelona if they come knocking. Might be his one and only shot...
Yeah but... https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20190608/462746298243/barca-umtiti-central.html
Whenever i visit bigsoccer, I see thumbnail of EV’s eating video. Can anyone please remove this??? I feel disgusting that someone will take his video while eating and it will be used against him in an Internet forum. I also don’t like EV as our coach and hope/pray he gets fired every day, but don’t stoop too low guys. Afterall this is just football and life is not just about it.
It's not about being approached. During the press meeting before the Egnland game journalist started with asking Koeman about Barcelona (due to rumours about it) and Koeman slightly irritated (it was after all ment to be about Netherlands vs England) said he wasnot going to say anything about it and only wanted to talk about the coming match. Next thing that happened was that the shit journalists all started to speculate he was approached and he could be on the move because of his refusal to talk about it. So a couple of days later in a one to one interview he explained his reaction and given what that led to decided to make a clear statement.
Not saying that video is all nonsense, but it actually makes the argument that getting 87 points and winning the league "seems like a success at first glance, but after further analysis of scoring chances and expected goals it was actually a downgrade from the pre-EV era when they finished second in the league and got 90 points." [I'm paraphrasing but that clearly was the argument] Incredible! What makes the argument more absurd is that Barca were actually headed for more than 90 points this season, but played weakened sides towards the end because they already clinched the league. Whereas in 2016-17, Barca went on a big winning streak at the end when the cat was already out of the bag.
Left-footed midfielder who can drop long balls on a dime. Reminds me of perhaps my all-time favorite, Wolfgang Overath.
Mmmmmmm BREAKING: Luis Enrique has stepped down as manager of the Spain national team for personal reasons. He will be replaced by assistant coach, Robert Moreno.
Right I’m using TapaTalk which shows pages differently than the website.. The TapaTalk page heading says Ernesto goes to work 18/19 that’s why I thought info on a possible new manager was relevant. Apologies
Would be nice if this helps lead to a moción de censura against Bartomeu. Today at 11AM CET, Barcelona fans will gather outside Camp Nou to protest against the board of directors and Bartomeu. Be there, and bring as many people as you can! 🔃Spread the word🔃 pic.twitter.com/xC2YJYUexe— Barça Worldwide (@BarcaWorldwide) June 30, 2019
