Looks like both players on current invite to U15 national camp from Tijuana at one point played for Nomads Academy before leaving to Tijuana, so they are from San Diego...

Also, San Ysidro, where U.S. Soccer said he was from, is there. So that's another clue. ;)

He's one of a few 99s who have been called up to the US U19s so far this cycle. If he's a standout among the Tijuanamericans of his age bracket, I'd say there's a chance he could get some run with their U20s by the end of the year.

Espinoza finished the 2016 Apertura with 15 appearances (13 starts) for Tijuana U17, scoring two goals. He had another four starts and a goal in the U17 playoffs. He's currently listed as unregistered, but I am skeptical that he's leaving since he's been a long-time regular starter for Tijuana youth teams and seems to be reasonably well regarded in USSF YNT circles.

Tijuana, Baja California, July 21, 2017. The U20 category of Club Tijuana started the 2017 Apertura with a resounding 5-2 win against La Celeste Azul de la Cruz Azul.

Al 42 ', César Crespo came to the area and shot to goal, his shot was on the line but the rear cross sent the netzulina to the back of the net for 1-2.

At the start of the second half, Ernesto Espinoza impeccably took a free kick to tie the score to two goals (47 '). Brian Perez managed to turn the slate to put the 3-2 in favor of the Aztec Canes (52 ').

The Rojinegros continued insisting and in the 70 ', Samuel López made the fourth annotation for the border. In the final stretch of the match, Captain Ángel Espinoza defined the fifth goal of the match (88 '). The match ended 5-2.

The Xoloitzcuintles are already preparing to face Club Necaxa, in the duel corresponding to the second date of the 2017 Apertura Mx League (July 29, 11: 30hrs Center).

He's no longer with Tijuana, according to the Liga MX database.

Given his USYNT pedigree, maybe he'll pop up with a USL team.

He was (maybe he is still with them, although his website does not have much information) with Chula Vista FC, amateur team.
