  1. Cory Gibbs was successful at Feyenoord, but his knee injury in a USnat match did him in. Was such a pity.

There's a video somewhere (originally a USSoccer video) of Cory getting the news that the injury would knock him out of the squad for Germany. Heatbreaking.

    Tough stuff to watch.

It was the most emotional I've seen Bruce Arena ever get too (even more so than when Landon announced his retirement)

That tournament could have gone very differently with Gibbs around to stomp out Chezck attacks.

I still have nightmares of Ben Olson trying to mark Essien.

good old Zaccardo. Tied for US top scorer in that tourney. We should have played him more often.

  9. Latest news on PSV defenders transfer rumours: PSV is talking with the agent of the (17 year old!!) CD and captain of Fortuna Sittard, Perr Schuurs.
Thankfully he gave BVB, Bayern and Liverpool a "cold" shoulder. This age going abroad isnot a good idea in his development.

What does this have to do with EPB?

  11. EPB is mentioned to be a top target of PSV as also Kellyn Acosta is, so all rumours and actions PSV has about defenders are relevant.

I was asking for specifics, but if you don't want to answer that, can you tell us if there will be any news coming out before the end of the transfer window or is this something that'll have to wait until January?

He can sign for anyone (including a new SKC deal or a deal with a European club) through the fall while still playing for SKC. So news doesn't have to come out in August.

so is the never-ending non-story? I kinda want him to sign with just about anyone to get it done. Is it SKC hugging him too tight or do clubs not actually want him?

SKC made what they called a competitive offer. EPB has not at this point signed it. There are no reports that he has signed with anyone else (he can at this point) for 2018
