  2. So a week to rest and recover from injuries and little pains for a lot of players.
Feyenoord can use that extra week, because we have a few players with injuries and we need in this phase all the hands on deck.

Any updates on buttner. Did anyone watch psv- Vitesse. He did play the last 13 minutes.

  4. The other Eredivisieclubs really need to work on their stamina, as SC Heerenveen batteries were drained after the intense first 35 minutes against Feyenoord.
Manu in an interview talked about the opinion of the English Championship players about the "Eredivisie". In the bus on the way to an away opponent they sometimes watch "Eredivisie" matches. They cannot believe how slow we play and look at the players as being weak and physically unfit.

In an interview an Ajax player said they are head and shoulders above oth PSV and Feyenoord when it comes to football capacity. Right, that's why we see so much circulating the ball with no purpose, or is it because up front they have no clue how to make themselves available for proper forward passing?.

At this moment the league title is up for grabs. Injuries have taken their toll on Feyenoord's first eleven, Ajax still has EL commitments while PSV is still starting to gain momentum.

My gut feeling says PSV because they have nothing to lose and are used to the stress of the final stages of the league.

  6. Wow, a first in Europe (or the world) I guess. The police this evening raided the FC Twente stadium DURING the FC Twente-PSV match.
The fans at first were urged by the speaker to leave the stadium, later just the ones on a particular stand. The match continued during that all.
The reason was strong suspicion of drug trade during matches and something else I didnot get. The drug suspicion according to the spokeswoman of the police was confirmed.
    Oh dear, poor Ms Neeskens.

  7. Hidde ter Avest is mentioned as a target by Napoli. Yet another Dutch defender wanted by the Serie A.

  8. On the other hand, the Serie A has a higher goal per match average than the Eredivisie:eek: Caused by all those Dutch defenders?:cautious:

  9. FC Twente can cash over 2 million euros as Spartak Moskou became champions and in that case bonuses were going to be payed.

  11. The play off matches for the EL spot:
    17th of May
    18:30 CEST
    SC Heerenveen - FC Utrecht
    20:45 CEST
    FC Groningen - AZ

    20th of May
    20:45 CEST
    FC Groningen - AZ
    18:30 CEST
    FC Utrecht - SC Heerenveen

winners into the final rounds 25th and 28th of May.

Which team is our best chance of gathering points?

AZ are the only ones who have ever performed decently in Europe.

  13. With Excelsior safe and Sparta safe and Feyenoord champions, Rotterdam next season again is Football Capital of the Netherlands.

That's a tough billing to live up to!!;)

  15. Well, Sparta was just shy of a Final spot in the Dutch Cup. Could have been all the silverware in Rotterdam. That would be even tougher to continue.

  16. Zyech on collision course with Moroccan FA. The FA has threatened him with measures if he doesnot show up for the match against Oranje.
FIFA regulations (afaik) stipulate a player is obliged to show up when selected. If not he will be suspended for matches of his club.
Well, FIFA. Good luck with enforcing that. The moment it gets contested in court it flies out of the window.
