I have a dream of a Long Sleeve Gold jersey from last year. My wife might be able to use Saied's winter coat too. Might have to call off work. . .
They are game used, and I remember paying like $40 for my Razov game worn jersey. I'm sure they are more expensive now but certainly not that high. And i dont know if it will be gold or not since they announced that the bananas will be making a reappearance versus Houston. Eboe
It'll be last year's stuff and players we no longer have. We already knew "yellow kits at select games" this year.
My guess is that it has something to do with Tucker (who ran it) getting fired.... This may have been the earliest they could put it together. I'll also note that in the past, they have had trouble getting new gear from adidas on time (or so I was told), meaning they had to use the old stuff for preseason and part of the regular season--or keep it just in case. Often the garage sale had stuff two years old as a result. Also, the weather in May is likely to be better than late November (though this *is* Columbus, so you never know). I'd love a jersey--I'll be happy with a training top and polo ot two.
Or else get there at 2 PM. I showed up a bit before six and had nothing but compression gear or match(?) balls to choose from. Some socks and gloves too.
Thanks for posting this. I freaked out because I forgot about it, but for me to have gotten there before you would have been a struggle.
Ya, I got there a little before 6 as well. Got a few things and was content. They did bring out a bunch more of the side zip warm ups and sleeveless training tees after some people had left.
Patience too. I got a couple of jerseys as folks were putting them back on the racks. Some folks shop by grabbing an armful and then trying them on. They then hang them back on the racks. I was able to get an XL polo I wanted (size being the key--not color or style) as a guy was going to put back a polo his GF picked out for him but he didn't like--and I politely asked. It was not as crowded as recent years and there were some good shirts to be had. I saw folks with Parkhurst and Clark jerseys, for example. I would have liked the Parkhurst, as I was also born in Providence, albeit a few years earlier..... So for you Meram haters, I got a Meram jersey, which of course means he will be gone in a year, per my usual "luck".
I was happy. I wanted a long sleeve jersey from last year and I got Wahl and Lev-Ari. The equipment manager called the Lev-Ari jersey a "unicorn." He said he was told the name was placed on the uniform hours before he was waived. It made me laugh so I kept it.
There were not that many there at 5. I got in in the second wave and I arrived about 5:10-5:15. I was actually surprised at how small the crowd was. Only a couple hundred at most, I would think.
No, I like the way it is now. They actually, ya know, talk about soccer and stuff without 20 minute breaks for giggle fits.
I like you Morgan, we've meet in person before. We talked at the supporters summit, my wife and I. I'm just saying: 1) I can think of a couple people who are/were much worse offenders. 2) Just my personal preference, when I listen to a Crew podcast, I want to hear people talk about the Crew, the games, the players, the tactics, etc, not a Columbus version of Mystery Science Theater 3000. To each their own and whatnot.
Anyone have an idea of who I should contact if I was overcharged for what I purchased. I got home and realized I must have been double billed for one of the items I bought (a $55 jacket). Unfortunately, I'm guessing I don't have much in the way of recourse at this point.
I'd just call the main # and ask to speak with someone, and if they didn't know, I'd say give me to their finance people or something and see who's in charge of that billing.
I totally get that, no doubt. The giggle fit comment came off with more snark than I intended. My bad. We remain friends IRL.
