Was it last year, the year before, or both (ha!) when he was camped out the night before? I think it was one of the Nordecke guys who went to 4th Street that evening then got there and turned out to be #2 in line. He said it was every bit the painful experience anyone of us would imagine. Heck, was it you that was on a roadtrip with him?

It's possible--because the old sale was "Old Crew". Seriously, they may not be getting new gear in time for the season so they are keeping the old stuff until then. But as I have no FO contacts at all anymore, I have absolutely no idea.
It could also be that the FO was a little busier in the offseason than normal and just didn't have time to get something put together. I hope this is a one-off if true, as the EQ sale and the Awards Casino night were my favorite and generally only attended events outside of games. If this is gone too, I guess it'll just be gamedays for me.
It seems like there's two "all-team events" each year under the more-recent CBAs. One of them is the Summer Soccer Fest and the other is a "bonus" event which has been a bit different every year. It was the Casino Night and then it moved to the winery for one year. In 2014, it was the NewCrew reveal and then this year, it was the preseason jersey unveil. There really doesn't seem to be a reason to have it NOT be the casino night other than their reasoning of "We don't have enough money to do that" and a desire to keep things fresh. Other than fan-run events, I think these two events are the only ones outside of games.

Yeah... it's the same thing they've done the past few years immediately after the season. It can be anything from jerseys with (or without) names and numbers, shorts, 3/4 pants, windbreakers, Sirk's books, soccer balls or on-field equipment, compression shorts, yes, compression shorts... The lines will certainly be long. In the past, they had a staggered start time, based on season ticket status (premium seats, full-season, partial, general public.) With only one opening time, expect a true cluster. One year, at least two people camped out the night before, as it was a morning event. That may or may be not where Bill Archer picked up the "MANGO" jersey. It's also where they had one Tennyson jersey.
