yeah I wish it were at Avaya too but so what? Much better to see us play one of the world's biggest clubs at Levi's than some mid table Mexican squad at Avaya.
Levi's sucks. And Quakes fans will be outnumbered by Euro-poseurs. Not complaining, though. A game is a game.
Mmm... Levi's Stadium! And against one of the biggest clubs in the world, to boot. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
We certainly want to play them on the field and boot them on the scoreboard (however unlikely that is to happen). But still, playing such a prestigious opponent is simply icing on the cake to attending Levi's Stadium. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Awful stadium for soccer, maybe pointball when you can go the bathroom between plays and miss, what, three snaps of the ball.
And pray it doesn't break down going to Mtn View on the part that is only one track Been there, done that.
If you're a STH, there's nothing to whine about here. The organization could give us some Honduran team. We're getting Manchester United. Your ticket is paid for, be glad it's a legendary Premier League team and not Kalmar FF or something.
Well, it may be the legendary Man U, but probably not their legendary players, who will be barhopping in SF while the B squad runs through the sand flats. The good news is that we should have top resale value for our tix.
I doubt it. Some will likely miss if their national teams are coming off a deep run in Russia but last time we played United rolled out: Matteo Darmian Luke Shaw Chris Smalling Phil Jones Jonny Evans Juan Mata Adnan Januzaj Memphis Depay Ander Herrera Michael Carrick Daley Blind Ashley Young Morgan Schneiderlin Bastian Schweinsteiger Wayne Rooney Besides David de Gea, pretty much their whole team played at least a half.
I'm not whining. But it would be nice to get some diversity. We just saw these Chevy-truck logo dudes in 2015. (Do they at least have a new shirt sponsor?) And we seem to get a steady diet of EPL. All these Italian- and Portuguese- heritage nights and we never get a team from either of those countries? And what about a little Asian influence? Maybe a team from the J-League? I mean since we only have one Asian player on the team and a huge Asian population in the Bay Area.
just curious. why do you like Levi's Stadium so much? its horrible by all counts, unless you live a 5 minute walk from there.
My only complaint is Levi's Stadium, which I think is a fair complaint since I now have to go there. I don't even mind being outnumbered by Euro-poseurs. But Levi's is just so much worse than Avaya. If Avaya is too small (understandable, although it was used for MLS All Stars vs Arsenal) I'd rather have them put these games at Stanford Stadium.
Well this time we get to see “the special one”.... Rather have it at Avaya, but if The Quakes make some $ and it helps Improve the team/organization it’s all good
