7 Ws on the trot obviously is the goal, but want some payback in the process for August as well. Have really nothing inherently against Brighton and hope they stay up, but this weekend is the exception.
We'll find out about Sanchez's condition later this week I imagine, but this is game I would like to see him start in if he's fit.

Would love if Sanchez integrate perfectly with Rash Martial Pogba but can he match Lingard off the ball work ethics ?? dont think so with his recent injuries but still a great option off the bench and same for Lukaku.

Banana peel of a match. I didn't like the way the boys came out flat in the second half against Spurs. Let's hope Ole will get them going again so we can continue our fine form.

Rashford hat trick. Let's see it.

We can't be to confident against this team, we lost to them last time and they play well against the top 6. It's not going to be easy but hopefully we continue winning.

Brighton are away. This isn't a banana skin. They've got 8 pts in 11 away matches. If we drop points then it's because we ********ed up.

    Pereira needs a start .

I'd like to see Fred in Lingard's role.

    Keep Lukaku on the bench.

I'd like to see a RW in either Sanchez or Martial under Ole.

Fred as a false 9 or RW? Why? And what makes you think he should play a role he's literally never played?

Lingard's role is a free role AM or "where Pogba isn't there" with emphasis on pressing.

Fred is a good presser and had the most interceptions in one of the recent games he played. Meaning his pressing I am not worried about.

When Lingard goes wide it is usually a channeled run or to support the right back, but he does not sit on the wing.

Fred would offer better ball control better passing and he is able to hold people off the ball.

Lingard's runs are very difficult to replicate and this is the only reason why he is still in the starting lineup. He'll run between the CB and LB or RB or he'll sit between the CB and DM, but WHEN he does it makes him really stand out.

    Something like this:

    -----------De Gea--------------
    Dalot-Lindelof-Jones-Shaw
    --------------Matic---------------
    -----Herrera------Pogba-------
    ---------Fred--------------------
    -------------------------Martial--
    -------------Rashford----------

but I would take this this Sunday:
    -----------De Gea--------------
    Dalot-Lindelof-Jones-Shaw
    -------------Herrera------------
    --------Fred/Pereira--------Pereira/Pogba----
    Sanchez----------------Martial
    -------------Rashford-----------

Seems to me that you are complicating things for the sake of doing so.

Team one no. Team two take AP option out.

AP can come in for some minutes and work him in.

PS lingard is out to get him rest and AS time, right? Because there is nothing wrong with jl at the moment.

Why in the world would you make any changes. You want to kill our momentum?

Same team. No one else deserves to jump in the XI, besides made Smalling or Bailly.

I can't stand Lingard on the ball and production. If we can replace his press and his off ball runs which we can, then the person coming can provide more offensively on the ball.

Not that Lingard has been a problem anyhow, but Fred in his place is certainly not the answer either. He's used to playing in a deeper role or at best in a traditional B2B role. If he was to take anyone's place on the team, it would be Herrera.
The best option we have to play in Lingard's role unquestionably would be Sanchez: he can match Lingard's workrate/pressing ability, plus he can provide an additional threat to goal, in a roving, free role.
If he's 100% fit again, I wouldn't mind giving him a look in Lingard's place, not as a punishment of sorts, but he does expand tons of energy and could use a break, with an eye towards the FA Cup at the Emirates coming up. And if Sanchez is not completely ready, then we just reverse it, with Lingard playing vs Brighton and insuring that Sanchez is ready for Arsenal.

Slightly disagree that 3 or so changes should be made for the sake of rotation and keeping some guys sharp.

    -----------De Gea--------------
    Dalot-Bailly-Lindelof-Shaw
    --------------Herrera---------------
    -----Fred------Pogba-------
    ---------Mata-------------------
    -------------------------Martial--
    -------------Rashford----------

Not too crazy but Bailly for Jones, rest Matic and start Fred with Herrera playing 6 and Mata for Lingard. We have a busy February coming up and we some of the squadies to remain sharp so when we really need to call on them, they are able to play. That game against Reading is what you get when you throw out a team of guys as dull as soup spoon. Smart rotation not rotation for rotation's sake.

For the first time in ages we can say it isn't broken. A lot of people are trying to fit. Unsure why. Only parts that need replacing are Jones and Matic. Everyone else starts. Matic will start anyway. I'm going to personally end his career it seems.

Fukkin hell. Beating Brighton isn't, and never will be, about "payback".

This is all getting the three points, playing well doing so and hoping we avoid picking up any worrisome injuries.

The team I would go for in this game:
    Dave
    AY. Bailly. Lindelof. Shaw
    Fred. Herrera. Pogba
    Sanchez. Rashford. Martial

Eventhough Jones has really done alright as of late, a big mistake never seems to be too far away. Bailly and Lindelof showed promising signs as a partnership and we need to revisit it, now that the former is back.
In midfield, this is not the type of game where Magic will be needed. It applied under Mourinho and it still does now: playing him in every single game just does not make sense. He will be needed vs Arsenal, but against a Brighton team that will play deep, this is the opportunity to give Fred a start, with Herrera more than capable of handling the duties at the 6 for the day.
Upfront, the only change would be Sanchez, if he's fit for Lingard, as explained previously.
As mentioned previously, the prime objective is the W and making it 7 for 7 (therefore keeping up the pressure on the teams around us). But surely the players will have in mind what happened down there early in the season and will look for some sweet payback, in the form of a hammering.

You don't joke about injury to players.

You don't joke about injury to our own players.

You don't joke about ending a players career.

Those aren't funny. They aren't clever. They are classless.
